The thing about Avatar is, I don't ship anyone with anyone in a 4EVER way except Suki/Sokka. Because these characters are 12-16, and the thing is, most people have no idea what the hell they really want in a life partner at 12-16.
I wish the writers agreed with you. I really wish that they didn't explicitly state in the sequel show that Aang and Katara had babies together.
Though if she had to hook up with someone she met in the show, then Zuko all the way. It -- the ep where he helped track down her mother's killer? That's what sold it. Zuko understands what Katara was going through like Aang never will. Aang doesn't grok the need for vengeance, he doesn't know that Katara couldn't just let it go from a distance.
So agreed. I loved how that episode showed how similar and how well Zuko understood Katara, and what Katara would and wouldn't do.
