Dude's a solid bender in his own right, was one of the first guys to sign up for the healing classes when they were opened to men, and -- because dissatisfaction with gender roles works both ways -- has always dreamed of being a stay-at-home dad. He's just happy to have a wife who's cool with that, so he'll be just fine with Katara being Katara.

Would it be wrong to ship your character and Katara? He sounds like a catch and that would be my ideal post-war series scenario for Katara, next to ruling the Fire Nation with Zuko because she'd make an excellent queen.
