Iron Man 3 Trailer

Okay, so I actually found this trailer reassuring.Yes, it looks like this movie is making some stupid choices:

1.) Semi-sentient armor
2.) Multiple semi-sentient Iron Mans
3.) The patriot armor looks unbelievably dumb.
4.) Tony gives Pepper the tackiest heart necklace known to man. TACKIEST HEART NECKLACE IN THE WORLD. And what a weird color, too.

but it DOES NOT look like it's going to go the places that would make me expire from rage (a.k.a. killing off Pepper.) Other things I liked:

1.) "The one thing I can't be without" line being directed at Pepper (I had my doubts).
2.) Looks like we're going to have some really cool scenes with Tony sans armor.
3.) More Rhodney.
4.) I can't wait for context for that epic scene of Pepper, in a bra, with a burning building behind her.

He went to Jared! / it looks terrible, but I still like the symbolism of Tony giving Pepper a heart necklace, because she showed him proof that Tony Stark has one.

I'm also hoping Pepper getting kidnapped is supposed to mirror Tony's own origin story, My hope is that all of these things are foreshadowing RESCUE.

Who's Jared? And the symbolism is great, it's just that apparently the prop department was on crack.
