Kate is a rich girl who grew up in new York. Which is to say, she doesn’t know how to cook. She’s not going to starve, or anything – but if left to her own devices it’s a lot of peanut butter toast, fruit, protein bars, sandwiches and tinned soup. And while Kate isn’t afraid of slumming it, food-wise, (street vender hot dogs, cheap beer, whatever Clint has in his fridge) she does have a pretty refined palate and can, like, taste the ‘essence of blackberry and oak’ in certain wines.

Joan had a fairly isolated but not lonely childhood. In her late teens, college years she built a strong circle of friends, because she very consciously did not want to be one of those people who had their work and nothing else.

These make a lot of sense, especially the one about Joan, and Kate tasting "essences." I bet that annoys the heck out of Clint. :P

(not sure how to make the AU symbol): Amelia Pond

Cooking: Natasha

Amy: the AU I’m most interested in would involve Amy having more agency in her own story, not ending up married to Rory, and having the writers actually commit to the Doctor/Amy romance they were really selling there for a while.

Nat: When Nat is herself, she views food as fuel, and doesn't really have strong opinions about it one way or another. Strong food preferences tend to be things she gives covers.
