Drive-By Fannish Update

  • I have posts on Teen Wolf and Game of Thrones coming, but for that I'm going to need more than five minutes when I get home from work and more than five minutes before I leave for work. Fuck, my life gets ridiculously frustrating sometimes. I also have more responses to the fic war coming.

  • I am so damn excited about today's Hawkeye.

  • Last night I tossed out the accumulated stacks of CDs I'd been burning for the past ten years for travel music, and am now starting fresh. I also want to go through my iTunes library and rediscover some music I've forgotten, and get rid of things that I don't like and don't listen to.

  • In the meantime... to distract me at work.....

Fandom Tennis Match Meme!

Okay, here's how this is going to work. You comment with a fandom question. I answer it and then ask you a question that has some thematic relevance to the question you asked me.

I am not opposed to DC comics? I enjoyed Gotham Central and the few issues of Birds of Prey that I’ve read, but I haven’t found that character that I love as an entry point. I have yet to find a good Catwoman story, for example, and with a lot of characters who sound cool when people talk about them in fandom, I just don’t know what to read for them.

Basically, the Batverse is confusing, I have no interest in reading comics about Superman, and I epically do not care about the Green Lanterns. I’ve also already read the Gail Simone written Wonderwoman comics and while she’s awesome, I don’t *love* her, you know?

One character from DC gets a solo title of his or her own. Who do you pick and what would you like to see?
