It's the reverse for me. There are more than my fair share of ships when I don't much care for it, but I'd probably need multiple fandoms for five of "God, I hate these ships so much I never want to see them again and think that nobody in their right mind should ship them."
redbrunja is welcome to answer either way she wants, though!
Oh, definitely. I was looking more for the DIAF PLEASE kind of ships...although I think "Five ships you just don't like in X fandom" would also be interesting.
First, setting someone up to be raped is a HUGE LINE. Also, R’as Al Ghul is fucking fugly. I am seeing NO APPEAL to this ship.
MCU!Clint Barton/Phil Coulson. Oh great, two characters who bore the shit out of me, and yet are somehow everywhere as super secret ninja spy lovers whose love can both move mountains and erase female characters. No. Next. 5. Noh-Varr/Tommy Shepherd. Why.
BOTH OF THOSE PEOPLE WOULD RATHER FUCK KATE. YOU KNOW IT TO BE TRUE.
*Addendum if you let me add a sixth one: any addition of Chuck Hansen to the perfect combo of Mako/Raleigh that exists ever because Nope.
THANK YOU. I am so glad that someone else appreciates what a TERRIBLE idea it would be to add Chuck to Mako/Raleigh and how it kind of goes AGAINST THE VERY CORE OF THE MOVIE’S WORLD-BUILDING. The only sort-of exception would be Chuck being into Mako and making not even noticing.
Every time I see a new Ra's/Tim fic, my soul dies a small death of why??????
Fandom is dark and full of terrors.
Look, fandom, the only reason I cared about Chuck was because del Toro stuck a dog in all of his scenes, okay?
I'm not a dog person, so I didn't even care then! The only thing related to Chuck that I cared about was his DILF.
The only way I see Chuck/Mako is if he was super into her when they were teenagers and she didn't even notice, and he has a lot of lingering Nice Guy bitterness about it.
The only thing I use recipes for is baking, actually. Cooking wise it's usually 'chop, throw ingredients in at the proper time, cook until done.' Which is so helpful, I know. What kind of things are you looking to cook?
kay and more importantly, how many goats do i have to kill to make kon/cass pegging fic real
okay and really more importantly, how many goats would you kill to remove coulson from the universe and replace him with a million ladies
I have yet to figure out the proper sacrifice to make the fannish world bend to my whim. That said, I LIKED Coulson and I'm still:
1.) Not happy he's on SHIED and
2.) Not happy with the way they changed his personality to fit the needs of the show.
It's really just because that due to my current health condition, the amount of things that I can actually eat is well, not very many at all, so I'm looking to get creative with what's actually available to me? Last night, I made pasta-less tomato-less lasagna so that was an adventure.
Wow, that sounds like a challenge. What can you eat? Is it blandness or are there specific things you need to avoid?
Agents of SHIELD doesn't feel like a Joss Whedon show to me or rather, it feels like Joss has taken every element from his past shows that stood out to him as "shit fandom eats up with a spoon" and turned it up to 11, and forgot to add charming, human elements to actually make it palatable.
It also doesn't have the unusual-ness that I expect to see from a Whedon show. SHEILD feels like a show I've seen a zillion times before.
And cheese. I would murder someone for a pizza right now.
Poor baby.
Blandness is generally a good plan but there's a lot of weird triggers that I never would have guessed, like tomatoes and onions and chickpeas.
Suggestions: chicken with sautéed onions (season with vinaigrette dressing or wine if desired). Sweet potatoes (delicious with butter and a little salt).
Right. It feels formulaic which doesn't interest me at all. It feels like I'm watching Torchwood and like, please, Torchwood was barely watchable in the first place.
Did you see the live-action Wonder Woman short (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XATiV3gmy-Q)? It looks a little video-game-y, but seeing Wondy block bullets and fly is pretty cool.
Oh, and btw, I'm reading Batman & Robin right now and in the flashback training montage there is indeed a panel where Talia gets Damian a tutor and makes him learn to play the violin, so I think you may be right about that classical music thing. :P
No, nothing in particular. Most of what I know about music comes from piano lessons, so I don't know the names of very many classical pieces unless I could at one point play them. :P
I feel like I may have asked you this before, but number one thing you want to see in Winter Soldier with Natasha? Like assuming the baseline of "they don't screw her character up", what's your shoot for the sky hope?
Doing something with Natasha's history of saving and supporting other women. That is one piece of her comics characterization that I SO WISH had made it into the movies.

2.) I just posted mine, and fair warning, you're going to disagree with one of my choices.

That's how I would imagine it.

And possibly Natasha Romanoff/Tony Stark. That one's a maybe.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner!
And there IS a Natasha pairing on the list, but not that one. Although that's a really good choice.

Or, in my case, not watchable at all.

New shows you intend to watch, old shows you're still watching, books, comics, movies, etc.?
It may prompt some interesting discussions from people who weren't aware of your shared interest.

And are there any fandoms' canons that you wished had gone on longer?
