While there may be hatred mixed in, they would love her because she made them great and powerful. By her sheer force of will she would give them a sense of purpose and worth and bring them to her side. We've already seen it in season two...she went into a horde of her enemies and came out their leader by sheer force of will and charisma, and they had no idea what she'd done to them.
