(Also, I think it's tremendously cool that Novik thanks fandom and credits fanfiction for helping her to become a best-selling author. Kudos, Naomi, kudos.)

(For those of you not reading the Temeraire series, imagine Commodore James Norrington..... only instead of having his character irreparably trashed, Lawrence just gets more honorable as the series goes on. Also, Lawrence ( sort-of spoiler ).)
