Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier
Let me start with this: it's not as good as the Avengers. In fact, Captain America movies have this problem, where I leave the theatre just wanting to see the sequel, instead of being satisfied with what I just saw.

Let me start with this: it's not as good as the Avengers. In fact, Captain America movies have this problem, where I leave the theatre just wanting to see the sequel, instead of being satisfied with what I just saw.
The stuff that bugged me:
- I am legit devastated that they cut out Natasha-was-trained-by-the-Winter Soldier
- Not enough Black Widow.
- Watching this movie, it feel really, really long. Partially because all the best stuff happened in the first half, partially because stuff that I was on pins and needles for didn't happen.
- We got no non-brainwashed Bucky? How is that fair?
- IN WHAT UNIVERSE SHOULD MARIA MOTHERFUCKING HILL BE WORKING AT STARK INDUSTRIES?
- The scene with Peggy was brutal and exactly why I wanted her to be dead before Steve woke up.
- NATALIA ALIANOVNA, BLACK WIDOW, MY QUEEN.
- IF ANYONE EVER SAYS WIDOW IS UNEMOTIONAL, I'M GOING TO DROP KICK THEM OUT A WINDOW. I ADORED HER HEARTBREAKING OBSERVATION OF NICK'S "DEATH."
- And this movie made me TOTALLY ship Natasha/Steve. Like, A FUCKTON. EVERY CONVERSATION WAS JUST SO GOOD. The stuff in the car in particular. "Who do you want me to be?" BOOM, FUCKING SHIPPING IT, SHOOT ME INTO THE SUN.
- (I'm going to have to write the fic where the reason that Nat wants Steve to be dating someone so much is so that he's "safe" from her.)
- Also, practice kissing. There better be so many "practice kiss" fics being written AS I TYPE.
- Goddamn, Nat looks good with curly hair. I loved it when she was sitting on the bed in the black tank and you see Steve in the mirror before he comes out.
- Sharon Carter was great.
- Maria fucking Hill was freaking amazing.
- WHEN I REALIZED THAT THE LINE "YOUR WORK HAS BEEN A GIFT TO MANKIND, IT'S SHAPED THE CENTURY" WAS REFERRING TO BUCKY WHILE HE WAS ABOUT TO BE PROGRAMMED I LITERALLY FELT LIKE LYING DOWN IN THE AISLE BECAUSE OF FEELINGS.
- Also, that the other line about the world "seeing you as you are" referring to Nat was great.
- The fight scenes were amazing. I wanted to watch them all on slow-mo. And the way Bucky moved with his knives was fantastic.
