Saw Enchanted yesterday, which was awesome, both because the movie is hysterical and because I had an awesome audience to watch it with. *hugs you guys*

Now, however, I have the theme from Beauty & The Beast in my head.

However, despite going to sleep with Mrs. Potts singing in my head, I had horrible, easy to remember, serial killer dreams last night with Sakura.

Probably because I was reading Naruto right before I got to bed and

Oh, Gaara.

Also, while it sucks that Sakura's now 'tied' to a tree, I did like how she was immediately ready to defend Sasuke. If only she'd been a little more effective.

Also, after Sasuke's little speech about 'not losing what is dear to him again....' well, I may not thing Sakura/Sasuke is an entirely doomed relationship.

Also, I forgot to mention, I was reading the part where you're seeing all the images of the past teams, and how Naruto's dad taught Kakashi, etc, and getting all wibbly.

And randomly, do you know that/if the Japanese have a word for pumpkin or scarecrow? Thanks.

Oh man, this is bringing back memories. alkadljkdsaf Now I'm getting all wibbly--that breaks my heart, how all of them are connected, and how Kakashi knew Naruto's father and Naruto didn't and. *wibbles*

The Japanese word for pumpkin is kabocha, and the word for scarecrow is kakashi. And yes, that is intentional on Masashi Kishimoto's part. :D

*nods*

And *headdesk* I knew that Kakashi was scarecrow, and was going, 'don't type scarecrow, don't type scarecrow' and then I did. I mean to type 'jack-o-lantern'. Sorry.

That said, 'scarecrow' is such a perfect name for him. ...Oh, and wasn't the scarecrow in the wizard of Oz looking for a heart? That would fit, after he lost all his comrades.

Hee. :D Don't worry--I do that all of the time. I think it's inevitable, especially when you are trying not to. Like when I try to leave messages on answering machines. It's always, don't say "hello Madeline, this is [livejournal.com profile] redbrunja, and I always do.

Jack-o-latern's kind of a tough one: there's the obvious "jakku o rantan", which is just taking the sounds. The 'official' word for it in Japanese is ハロウィーンのカボチャのちょうちん, which is basically Halloween pumpkin latern. If you want the pronuctiation it's "halloween no kabocha no chochin". Why Japanese is so strange, I will never know.

And yes, "scarecrow" is perfect for Kakashi--he tends to leave "scarecrows" as a replacement of himself so that he can read his porn instead of actually working. The heart thing!! Oh my god, I'd never even thought of that. But YES.

Oh, Japanese may be strange, but you know you love it. Speaking of, how is the french going?

I'm glad you agree about the heart! I was typing this, going, 'Am I insane for comparing a hollywood musical with an angst japanese character?'

Also, it's totally awesome that you can get lj to do japanese characters.
