Okay, I've seen a couple new movies in the last week, and if anyone wants to talk about them, I'm game.

Let me be vague, because I'm too lazy to cuttag:

Indiana Jones: I kind of adore Speilberg for being so clear about the fact that Marion was Jones' True Love, but oh my god some of those scenes, Ford was like a block of wood. That had forgotten how to act.

Kung Fu Panda: Delicious animation, and the villain backstory made the whole movie for me. *wibbles*

I forgave Indiana Jones for a lot (the climax of the treasure hunting plot...we went too far, yes we did...) for addressing one of the great fictional disappointments of my youth.

What was your great fictional disappointment?

That Marion was in only one movie. I've always viewed Mummy 2 as the universe's apology for that.

Indiana Jones was on crack (aliens! and aztecs! and Russians!) but for some reason, it worked. Go figure. I had a lot of fun watching it.

Haven't seen Kung Fu Panda yet.

I had a lot of fun too, but there were times when I was going, 'wow, the acting is really bad... am I being too criticial? ...wow, the acting's really bad.'

Kung Fu Panda is good. A total recommend.

Kung Fu Panda was great. Did you stay through the credits?

Yes I did.

And speaking of the credits - weren't they well done?
