You know, for any other character, I would say dressing up as THE MOST WANTED CRIMINALS POSSIBLE would be a bad idea, but since it's Sasuke, I'm sure no harm or consequences will befall.
Also, I have the feeling that the guy who is with them to keep himself under control (who I actually really, really like, because I'm a sucker for the beast/gentleman dichotomy) is going to get so, so fucked over.
Okay, am I correct in assuming that Jiraiya's note said nothing? Or did I miss something with had actual content? I liked it better when it was talking about Tsunade's boobs. Those are actually interesting.
Also, I'm sensing a disturbance in the force: a horrifically long and boring training montage! I can't imagine how excruciating they must be when you have to actually read one chapter a week and can't skim through it in under five minutes.

Hmm… what gives you that feeling? Mostly I’m just getting a ‘meh’ vibe from all of team Hebi. Besides serving as secondary battle fodder against Konoha, I really don’t know where Kishimoto is going with them.
Basically the general theory consensus is that they tried to decode the wrong book of Jirayai’s and that’s why it came out nonsense. At some point in the future they’ll realize this and find the right book. Probably the first one he wrote, the one Naruto was named after. The other main theory is that it will somehow correspond to something they discover in the autopsy.
It’s like a thousand voices called out in pain… but actually I don’t think it’ll be that bad. I usually don’t mind training montages as long as the move along at a fair clip, and actually reveal new things. The last training arc (the elements one which was a pretty huge reveal) managed to both rather nicely. *fingers crossed*

The fact that placing your mental and emotional stability in the hands of a man who has, what, six generations of fratricide and best-friend-killing, who DID kill his brother and almost killed his best friend, after knocking out the girl he (debatably) cares about is not the best person to cling to. I actually really want to see him and Sakura interact - or maybe see his psychosis switch to her, because I think Sakura with a pet polite pyscho would be win.

I've found the training montages to be the most dull parts of the Naruto manga, and personally, that last training arc with the elements made no sense to me, and as soon as Kakashi started talking about things I was interested in (genjutsu, medic-nins,) he stopped.

Thing is, only someone who has the afore mentioned credentials could suppress his Spiky-hair’s killer instinct. He’d just kill anyone else. All he really needs from Sasuke is to keep being an idiot. Don’t think that’s going to change anytime soon. Though the thought of him as Sakura’s personal psychopathic pet is cool.
Huh, I thought it was pretty straight forward. What about it didn’t make sense to you?

Well, keep in mind that I read this during the 100+ chapters in one day binge, and have never had much patience for the training chapters, but as I recall it.... Well, first, the ninjutus that we've seen come across more like magic than elemental manipulation to me, so I'm resistant to the sudden introduction of jutus being controlled via elemental manipulation. Second, the ranking didn't make much sense to me. I can't recall what the precise details were, except lightning> earth, which, seriously? In all situations? What about how ground, you know, grounds lightning?
Basically, I just felt like it was thrown together without Kishimoto thinking about it too hard, and then explained in a deliberately round about way.

Okay, would you mind explaining something, if you remember? What is the order of the elements? Like, if lighting of the same power as earth trumps earth, how does the rest of the elements go?

Hope that clears it up

The note said : "The real one is not with them." Is that what you saw - because only the Binktopia/Mangashare versions had that?
Of course, nothing's going to happen to Sasuke now that he has his new atomic Sharingan that can mess you up with just one eye.
I thought Juugo's comment strange actually - it seemed so out of place next to what Karin and Suigetsu said. It could be a sign.

You have no idea how disappointed I was when that shit failed to shoot deathrays.

Are we reading the same manga? Kishimoto is NOTORIOUS for doing long, long training montages. And when you have a week to learn something, you don't need to spend a chapter each day, you know?

It did, a little. I was responding to the fact that placing your mental and emotional stability in the hands of a man who has, what, six generations of fratricide and best-friend-killing, who DID kill his brother and almost killed his best friend, after knocking out the girl he (debatably) cares about is not the best person to cling to.

As far as they can tell, it's meaningless. Which probably means they interpreted it wrong. They seemed to be making rather arbitrary and ungrounded decisions in the codebreaking process.

I've heard that it means "The real one is not with them," which I'm quite sure wasn't in the scanlation that I read, so I think either other people had better translators, or... *shrugs*
