The situation:

My room is a disaster area, I have a million emails to answer and I open tomorrow. Upside, I finally have the chance to run errands. Downside, I have an hour to get everything organized for said errands tomorrow.

So, flist, your mission, should you choose to accept it.....

Link me to pictures of Karrin, with good images of her outfit. (I'm thinking she's a good candidate for thrift store cosplay.)

Also, does Rin from Black Cat have one, distinctive outfit, or it her recognizable piece of attire her heart necklace?

Does anyone know how to get good glasses that look like prescription but aren't? For reasonable prices?

Does anyone know of other red heads in anime? (Besides Gojyo)

Speaking of everyone's favorite kappa, does anyone have hints on where I can find leather/fake leather pants and coats should the thrift store fail me?

Heh. Yeah. "Slut it up" is pretty accurate. Honestly, I think she's one of the few characters who dress like that who I think it's because she's perfectly confident and secure in herself, and it's comfy and fun. (The anime, though, gives the look a more slutty bent than the manga, from what I've seen.)

Have you read any yet?

I think she's like Misato, in that while she does seem like she could just be fanservice girl, the way it's portrayed in the anime/manga puts her firmly in control.

And yes, I bought the first volume on impulse, and while Black Cat doesn't do much for me, Sven, Rinslet, and "Ivy" are awesome.

I love when Sven's all like, "i'm going after her" in the end of volume one.

I assume by "Ivy" you mean Eve. She is my most precious darling deadpan badass moppet. Rinslet is incredibly comfortable in secure, both in her femininity and her lifestyle, and has no shame or hangups about either, and won't put up with being challenged about either. One of the appealing aspects of Train and Sven (and Janos, who shows up later) is that they don't see any reason to have hangups about it, either. She and Train like to snap at each other, but that's pretty much their bringing out each other's immaturity.

I'm blanking on Misato ATM.

Train isn't as immediately appealing as the other main characters, but he's grown on me pretty well. I don't like him as much as Eve, Sven, and Rinslet, but I like him a lot. The manga usually avoids overplaying his angst, which helps a lot, I think. It also helps that he and Eve bicker like kids a lot, and she always wins. (Train-after a bit-openly adores her and wants her affection, but she views him as competition for Daddy Sven's attention, and thus will never admit that she adores him in her special way.)

And here, let me rant a bit: Someone posted a lot of Black Cat icons today, the only ones I've seen(pretty decent ones, too), and the only female represented was dead before the series began and only appears in flashback. (I like her a lot, but come on...) There are also a couple pretty cool female characters who show up later.

Misato is from Neon Genis Evagelion.

And on the subject of icons, I'd love to see some for Rinslet.

I will have to see if I can find it to DL.
