(I had to ask enderxenocide  this, because I tend to watch things in subs but don't know the VAs names.)
Noriaki Sugeyama. He did Sasuke and Ishida, and while I'm not a fan of Sasuke, watching the anime I will randomly go, 'I don't really like this kid.. but the voice! It's not surprise other people adore him so!'

Do you cosplay? Or, what kind of cosplay would you like to do?

Yep. I was an okay Lust, did an AWESOME Suki, and at some point I would LOVE to do a Painted Lady Katara (but I'd want to have a hot guy to do Blue Spirit Zuko with me).

Ummm, smart, bloody guys? A la Hakkai, Ishida, Kakashi, etc.

I think it's really cruel of my teachers that they all decided to get hardcore and start truly assigning things on the week of halloween, when I have a friend I haven't seen in months visiting.

Timing FAIL.

Also, it was cosplay night at anime club. enderxenocide  and I were Hakkai and Gojyo, and, if I may be frank, we were awesome. (Even if I couldn't get my hair to make the little antenaes, and we haven't figured out the monocle.) I also ate a month's worth of sugar. Anyway, Gojyo is so fun to cosplay. I just play with my (fucking awesome red) zippo and cigerette and act slutty, and it's a blast. And then enderxenocide  orders me around (I got Hakkai a piece of pizza, a drink, candy, and something else.)

Now, before I get into the animes, a word: Please no spoilers in comments. Even those vague, "wait until later when something happens relating to what you just said! Character you loved/hated gets badass later!" kind of comments. I am a clever girl, and I always end up trying to figure out what you mean, especially when two people who have both seen the series get into those conversations full of written eyebrows lifts and significant looks.

At work, my boss/coworkers gave me flowers, a cake, a gift certificate for a haircut, and invited me to Thursday Margarita Night.

Then, I went to the thrift stores and slayed. I have a coat that should be fairly easy to modify into Karin's and the sluttiest pair of shorts I have ever worn in my life. Seriously, Daisy Duke thinks these things are too short, and they're, oh yeah, did I mention - black leather. Yeah, I think Sasuke Slut - I mean, Karin - is working the stripper/smart chick chic look.

On the subject of cosplay, has anyone worked with liquid latex before? Because smillaraaq wants to do something in that medium, and would like to talk with people who actually have.

Besides that, I got a bunch of clothes just because, and then my mother and I went out to the Manresa Castle Bar, which is a really svelte place. Nina Simone was the the speakers, we had a great bartender, delicious crab cakes, and I had a scarlet letter and half of a creamsicle-booze thing.

All in all, it was a damn fine day.

(Also, I had a highly, highly, highly successful cosplay, am now addicted and will be starting my next one in JUNE. That was also the conditions of my mother helping me: that I do this again, because she doesn't want the both of us forgetting everything we learned doing it this time, and that I start way the hell earlier than I did this year.

Spend five hours cutting out fabric for my cosplay.

My back is killing me and my knees are bruised (kneeling on linoleum for the lose) but all the pieces for my skirt and top are cut out.

Now it's time to for the test run of the Kubuki Makeup.

So, cosplayers on my flist, I'm going to be going in search of jeans sans holes tomorrow, and I thought I might start on Suki's headdress. I was thinking of wonderflex, but I have some questions. First, do you actually need a heat gun? I swear I saw a picture of someone working with it over the a stove element, and I REALLY don't want to buy a heat gun for 30 dollars. Second, how expensive IS this stuff? Third, is this a good choice, or is there something simpler that I should be looking at? Forth, would most decent sized craft stories have this, or would I have to go on a quest to find this?

I'm clinically insane. That's the only explanation. And you know, this really isn't my fault, I can't be held responsible - this is because of lack of sleep (I do crazy things when I'm sleep deprived, like making rp journals) or the fact that the water was shut off this morning in my apartment (Me last night: I want to wash my hair. Mmmm, better not, there's never hot water at night. Me this morning: *turns on the facet* *no water at all* Oh, you are kidding me.) Oh! Finals. This is because of finals. And I'm still half-sick. Really, I can't be expected to make rational decisions right now.

So you want to know what I'm not doing?

This morning, I did not take screencaptures of Suki's awesome and fiendishly complex outfit.

I am not poking around on fabric sites looking at what's available.

I am not looking at pattern sites and thinking, 'hmm, am I crazy, or would that Tibetan Chupa make a good base for her outfit'?

Oh, god, I'm clinically insane aren't I?

Flist, I throw myself on your mercy.

If you could either a.) find and return my sanity

b.) give me the information on cosplay, specifically time/skill/money estimates, ideas on how to make the vest, headdress, arm bracers and detailing.

c.) smack me across the mouth and stick my head into a bucket of ice water.
