Last season's failtastic finale was not an isolated incident.
I call shark jump-age.
Spoiler-free version:
When even I (who don't demand that professionals on tv act utterly professional) am going: act like adults! You are doing something wrong.
Also, the break up? So bad. So very very bad.

God, I hate Sweets. Thanks so much for verbalizing the subtext. I hate the Angela didn't jump up and down and be like, 'wasn't the sex wonderful? Isn't he amazing?' with Cam. I hate the Hodgins didn't rush after Angela. (You know he would have.)

And I didn't know you watched Bones. (Or did, and forgot).

I've seen a few episodes, or pieces of them.

But yeah, I'm really wondering if they switched writers or just drank the kool-aid.
(Speaking of which, I scored Veronica Mars season 1 while in Eugune, so if you want to watch it, we could put it up on an actual tv.)

I finally watched it, and was not impressed.
Well that sucks...
The stuff back at the lab was pretty disappointing, but what almost made it work for me was the presence of Dr. Clark. He brilliantly framed the viewers feelings of "Holy crap, just get back to work already! What's with all this drama?" Too bad they didn't keep him around as Zack's permanent replacement, he was the highlight of the episode. And Angela and Hodgskins break up was pretty sad, in both tone and quality. It was very uncharacteristic of both of them to get hung up on stuff like that. You know they're going to get back together at some point, and this is just the break-up season, but I wish they could have come up with a way for them to break up that actually made sense.
Also, this episode featured too many beautiful/intelligent women shagging/almost shagging/or having had shagged total prats.
Re: Well that sucks...
I enjoyed the Bones in England bit, especially once Booth settled down and got his gun. That said, I can think of no reason why it needed to be smooshed into one episode instead of just being two, like it so clearly was.
With Angela/Jack... I just feel, if you're going to be lame and break them up, at least do it well. Actually have her husband break that relationship up, either because Angela still has feelings for him, Jack gets jealous and tried to buy the guy off (because you know that would piss Angela off, Hodgins throwing around his wealth) or some combination of the both.
And you have a damn good oint about the beautiful/intelligent women shagging/almost shagging/or having had shagged total prats. Did you catch the line about how the one prof had had some level of inappropiate relationships with EVERY SINGE ONE of his female students?

And Booth was being far too immature in the first part. I liked Clark, but looking at some spoilers, him leaving might be a good thing. And..I can't see Angela being that upset with Cam. It seemed so petty.

Word. I hate it when they play Booth as dumb just for laughs. And it made NO sense for Angela to care. If anything, it would have made more sense for her to be like, 'oh, sweetie, wasn't it great?' and start rhapsodizing about him, and THAT led to the Angela/Jack break up, or even been really sterotypical and played it that Angela did still have feelings for her husband.

Beyond him being pretty and good in bed, it never really seemed that Angela had anything for Grayson. Her kissing him made some sort of weird sense, and she didn't make a big deal out of it, so it bugged me that Grayson and Hodgins did. And..after the relationship making it through so much, and being reaffirmed by that bell scene, and..all the signs the show has given us that this love WILL work and how well they pulled it off..them breaking up didn't make sense. At all.
Okay, at this point, it's mainly the royalty and knighthood thing that bugged me about Booth. It makes no sense for him.
By the way, I liked Pritch, and her banter with Ian, who was a jerk.
