Just look at the evidence:

Part 1: Sakura is badly written by Kishimoto, and drives the majority of the audience insane with annoyance. Sasuke is kinda cool.

It's like they share a set amount of 'annoying' and when one takes, the other gives. *sigh*

Don't you see? They're soul mates. The last scene of the manga will be them getting married and/or surrounded by pink-haired, pinwheel-eyed children.

It's totally canon, don't bother arguing with me.

Shut up, Sakura x Sasuke are only the greatest romance since Bella and Edward! (OMG OTP!!1111!!!!)

At a certain point, and intervention is needed. Just look what happened to me when no one forced me to stop watching SGA after I all but wrote and elaborate deathfic reworking the show into my personal image? (All that was really needed was dialogue...)

*edit's to add Bleach, D.Gray-Man,, GinTama and Rurouni Kenshin to the list of shounen manga red might like that are better than Naruto. Though I suspect you'll get involved in the Bleach fandom and want to commit murder when you get into the Renji/Rukia/Ichigo/Orihime bit (though Renji/Rukia seem to be mostly sane and quiet, and Ichigo/Orihime seems to only flare up when provoked, for the most part...it's the Ichigo/Rukia ones that refer to other shippers as "the stupids" in my experience, though not all of course) and I'm not sure you've read enough shounen to really "get" GinTama, as it's 99.9% comedy and exists to mock shounen and shounen tropes and conventions-including the main character existing to kick the Train/Vash/Kenshin character type in the privates.

*winces* Glargh. I admit, I like Sakura/Sasuke, but I like it mostly in a similar vein to my fondness for Jet/Katara: pain and disaster are fun to write. Also, somehow you have reminded me of the crazy Zutarians who embarrass me for being in the same ship as them with arguments like HE IS THE SUN AND SHE IS THE MOON or SCARS ARE HOT AND I'M TOTLI NOT PROJECTING MYSELF ONTO POOR KATARA. m(_ _)m *ded*
