Okay, I'm really enjoying my fiction textbooks (short, short stories, a very readable book on writing) but my textbook has the WORST attitude about genre writing. When he uses examples of bad writing, he flat-out calls in 'genre writing' instead of 'bad writing' and acts like being plot-driven leads to all writing ills.

enderxenocide showed me a Saiyuki vid last night, which made me think about INLYA, and when I looked at what I'd written, I had more than I'd initially thought I did.
