You remember how you woke up feeling sick yesterday morning? Yeah, I was paying attention, and since I don't want to be sick during a.) dead week b.) finals or c.) SukuraCon, do you know what I did?

I went to bed at 11:00 p.m.

This should have resulted in almost eight and a half hours of unconsciousness, but no. No, you had to wake up at 12:46 am and then refuse to go back to sleep. (Fuck you too, pons and possibly reticular formation.)

And thanks so, so much for taunting me with the whole 'almost asleep.... almost asleep... psych!' That was great. Thanks, really.

It's especially helpful when I'm going to have to be paying attention to neural plasticity in, oh, four and a half hours.
