Fandom Status Check

We've all been complaining about how slow LJ has been in recent months (because seriously, it's been months) - anybody have any clever theories? TV sucking, real life, tumblr... some unholy storm of all three? Not that I have room to act like I'm not a HUGE part of the problem, what with my recent inability to answer comments in a timely manner. That's one reason why I'm SO grateful that FMM has struck - I feel like that has perked up my flist with one of my favorite things - talking about how much we love various fictional characters and why.

Besides that, I am currently reading every. single. damn. Rumpelstiltskin/Belle fic on the ENTIRE INTERNET and adding and editing icons over and over again. (One of the many, many reasons I need to start answering comments is that I have so many great icons I am currently not using!) Also in Once news, I am re-evaluating my opinion on Sheriff Graham.

In a complete change of fandom and tone: new Game of Thrones trailer. I honestly don't know who is going to break my heart more this season - Sansa or Tyrion. Also, Jorah, please stay awesome. Please.

Waiting for tv shows to get good. Word. I get so frustrated when I'm expected to forgive shows a bad pilot or a bad first season. Seriously, if a show can't get a good pilot together, how am I supposed to trust that it will get better later? And I really like when the author of that article gets into reasons we expect shows to be good (and would have loved it if he'd used that to segue into 'shows that are not as good as everyone things they are.')

Also, I am going to be helping my mom with data entry for most of tomorrow (but I will also have internet) so what are you interested in talking about flist?

I Guess They Didn't Know How To Insult Back Then?

I have always found the dig, "she's no better than she ought to be" so weird. Like, it takes forever for me to process how it's even an actual insult until I work around to the base assumption that all woman are evil whores.

Also, I deeply dislike setting my clocks forward an hour. It sucks.
