Why so quiet, livejournal?

I watched That Episode of Peaky Blinders last night - you know, the episode wherethe two romantic leads commit a double homicide together and then stare at each other and embrace, each knowing the other has seen the darkness and violence instead of them and didn't turn away, and then later they had insanely characterization-appropriate (and hot) sex.Now I'm afraid to finish up the season, because I know it's going to all end so badly.

Casting Call

ever_neutral asked me about favorite actors, which is actually kind of a hard one for me, because I tend to fall for characters, not actors, and I actively try not to know too much about actors because it can end badly.

That said, here are some people I've seen in multiple things and liked and as far as I know, aren't terrible human beings:

Keira Knightly, Chris Evans, Cobie Smulders, Helen Mccrory, Zoe Saladana, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Lucy Lawless, Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman, Neil Patrick Harris, Kristin Bell, Gina Torres, Jensen Ackles, Judi Dench, Anne Hathaway.

What You Carry With You Weighs You Down

thatfangirl asked if I'd done a wishlist for Cap 2. I have, it's basically one item:

DON’T FUCK UP NATASHA.

That’s my biggest fear. I want her to be the stealth main character like she was in Avengers. I want Natasha to have several amazing fight scenes. I want her to have an explicitly romantic relationship with Bucky when he was training her, and I want the movie to end on an ambiguous note re: their romantic relationship going forward. Major bonus points if they have a hand-to-hand fight while he’s still brainwashed and she beats him.

Other things I'd like are:

-I don’t want to see Peggy Carter – I would have loved it if she’d died pre-Avengers.

-Maria and Natasha have a conversation.

-The ending stinger is not some oblique, boring thing that only hardcore comics nerds will get, but an actually funny, relevant tag to the movie.

-Lots of Steve in civilian clothes.

-Bucky ends up getting a decent haircut at the end so we can enjoy Sebastian Stan’s beauty.

-For the movie to be as awesome as the trailers are making it look.

(Some of these things I know are not going to happen. Some of these things are still possibilities.)
