Just got massively spoiled for TTGL (twice, in case once wasn't enough).
What I found out caused the small desire I had to finish the series vanish.
If you haven't finished that series, don't got to today's fandom secret post.

Still really sucks that you got spoiled twice, though. ):

I honestly think I'd like it more it I hadn't had it pimped as hard as it was.

major stuff in the show is considered not even spoilery by some people because of how widely it's known.
I understand how that happens, but it's still dumb and inconsiderate.

ANNE BOLEYN AND KATHARINE OF ARAGON. I ♥ them both. Okay, on a note that's actually related, holy crap, if I had been spoiled for anything in Gurren Lagann, I would've smacked a bitch. Or whoever was closest.
TEAL DEER, OH NO
(For the record, though, the series actually improves hugely after the first spoilery event. It gives it some needed focus, and it was only at that point that I found myself really getting interested in the show itself, beyond just fangirling on Kamina for being awesome. (His dad was Alex Louis Armstrong and his uncle was Maito Gai, and nobody can tell me different.)
Granted, it eventually stops making any sense whatsoever, but in an awesome sort of surf-the-wave-of-glorious-wtfery way. I was spoiled for both the same events you were, and afraid it would jump the shark Death Note-style, but I ended up enjoying it hugely anyway.
('Snot likely to become a fandom for me the way Avatar and FMA were, but it was a fun and worthwhile ride. ^_^)

That is the perfect way to phrase it.

See, TTGL, for me, has always been a 'hmmm, this is okay... not something I'd seek out of my own...' and hearing that it stops making any sense later... is not a good sign for my continued interest.
Re: TEAL DEER, OH NO
Ordinarily I prefer tidy, logical worlds, but this was free-flying Jabberwocky brilliance. In space. ^_^ And I really did get a kick out of it...I don't know for sure if you will, but don't write it off too soon.

I seriously think that is impossible to explain the level of excellence that the end of the series is. It doesn't make sense in a way that makes perfect sense. If that makes...sense...

Please keep watching? One of my favorite characters enters in episode 9, and there's a conventions-breaker at the end of episode 12 I'd love to talk with you about, and it just keeps getting awesomer...
And all you have to do is not leave Anime Club during the credits for Last Exile.

We'll miss you at club. Though if you do find Last Exile and Daughter of 20 Faces over Winter Break, I would like to watch them with you.
