I want to pimp out this grea Anya fic, which I didn't totally understand but which was incredibly awesome:

What is most impressive is not only the sense of time and history with the fic, but the author's fantastic precision of language.

This is heartbreakingly plausible and a perfect example of Sakura and Naruto not being able to win for losing. And I don't really have an example to show how well written this is, because the whole fic is a series of little examples that build up to something heart-rendingly tragic.

I MEAN, FORGET ANYTHING TO DO WITH SASUKE, SAKURA MADE HERSELF BARREN AND INO MARRIED SOMEONE SHE DIDN'T LOVE AND WAIL, WAIL WAIL!

When you think about it, Sasuke as a cat is a shockingly lol-worthy images, especially in a fic that's not funny at all.

YES! LIKE IT WASN'T JUST THE OT3 WOE, LIKE EVERYONE WAS EXTREMELY DEPRESSING IN THAT FIC! And even Naruto and Sakura's relationship, I mean it was cute, but it had this kind of awful emptiness to it (which I loved because OMG THE TRAGEDY). AND HOLY CRAP SAKURA KILLED HIASHI AND MADE IT LOOK LIKE AN ACCIDENT BUT IT ALL TURNED OUT TO BE FOR NOTHING T_____T AND INO. INOOOO SO DEPRESSING JEEZ
