Saiyuubito Q&A (p72) translated. In which Yaone is awesome and feeds my OTP and Kougaiji is a dumbass. Seriously, I feel SO SORRY that both Yaone and Dokugakuji wound up with him.

Dead-one fanart with spoilers for Naruto 434:

Naruto 434: team Gai's entry2

I can't decide if I love Konan selling tickets to the circus or the slugs turning the pages of Kakashi's book and getting him tea more.

More with the funny:

If Anko Taught Sex Ed...

Also, I find it terribly sad that there is so little Iruka/Anko art that I find (bad) Kakashi/Sakura pics when I search for it.

And one more...

Sneaky Anko by ~kiasca on deviantART

It's the expressions on their faces that make this so very perfect...

Okay, now for some Bleach commentary (I originally mistyped that Blech). Up to 308:

Nell's face here is wintastic.

Also, I love Cirucci so very much. With her stockings and her whip-yoyo thingy....

Is it just me or do titles like 'Don't breath in the bush' and 'Infinite Slick' come across as really, really pervy?

And the snark in this fight is freaking epic. God, I swear the mangaka gains 50 IQ points whenever Ishida is onscreen.

And here's Ishida being hot and badass.... Honestly, because I'm a crazy shipper, my first thought was 'does he make a great white knight to Orihime's princess?

I have no words for how pervy this scene is....

I really like how Uliquorra rolls one eye back to watch her after Orhime slaps him.

Also, I've reached the endless, endless, endless fights.

Send help.

That video was HILARIOUS. Oh, that movie. I remember seeing in at such a young age that I didn't understand gay, so I was totally confused on why George and the main character couldn't get together in the end. They talked all the time! He came to the wedding so she could have someone to dance with!

That said, thoughts on a fic idea:

1.) I have a hard time buying into a Naruto who wouldn't marry Sakura in a hot second.

2.) It seems like a backsliding of the Sakura/Ino relationship - it seems like they've gotten over the love-rival game.

3.) How do you write the Kakashi/Sakura romance effectively if Sakura's so focused on Naruto? While I couldn't see this the first time I watched it, on reason the movie works is that she DOESN'T end up with anyone in the end. Will the Kakashi/Sakura just be subtexty?

4.) This is a pretty unflattering role for Sakura to be cast in.

...I hope this doesn't come across as too much raining on your parade.

Nah, realistically I was having all those problems with it as well, when I was thinking about fic possibilities. And I'd probably never write it. But, for the sake of having some time-wasting brainfun, I'll answer your questions. =)

1.) That's true. I guess this would have to be a Naruto who's at least 10 years older and totally in love with someone else.

2.) I probably wouldn't even use Ino. She's not sweet enough. I'd probably use Hinata, even though I don't like that pairing, if only because it'd be fun to have Hinata break out of her shell to fight back against Sakura. She could totally lose her shit--which is something that will never happen in canon, as much as I'd like to see it.

3.) Very, very true. This is actually the most annoying thing, but I bet it could be subtexty all along. Maybe she could recruit/blackmail Kakashi to "help" her in her plans, thus allowing a contrast to her different relationships with Kakashi and Naruto. It'd probably still end up with her not dating anyone, but with heavy implications of the future.

4.) I'm pretty comfortable with writing my favorite characters so they don't always have to be the hero or always be right in the end. Generally I write them in heroic roles, but that alone isn't a significant problem for me.

In this story, I think that all depends on how it goes. I sympathized with Julia Robert's character in the movie even when, after a while, I wanted her to lose; it's not strictly unflattering. It would just have to do what the film did--balance the good with the bad, and make you still like her even while you laugh at her antics and hope for her to come to her senses.

But like I said, it's more of a wistful plot bunny than something I plan to write. I like the cracktastic appeal, though, and it would satisfy my two favorite ships at once.

I love time wasting brain-fun!

2.) I would also love to see Hinata lose it at some point. That would be epically awesome.

3.) And at the very least, a sexy, sexy dance at the end.

4.) I'm pretty comfortable with writing my favorite characters so they don't always have to be the hero or always be right in the end. *nods* For me it depends on the character in question and the type of potentially unflattering attention that I'm writing them as. Some characters I'm more protective of than others, although I don't insist that they ever always be in the right. (Sometimes it's their screw ups that make me love them the most.)
