Okay, it's Sunday and I'm dusting my room and I'd love a distraction. So, meme-age.

The Title Meme: Wherein you give me a title (and if you're picky, a fandom) and I tell you what that story is about.

And the 13 People Meme. I wish had had a better way to explain this, but bascially, I've written a list of my thirteen favorite characters which you don't know about, and you get to ask my questions about them in the commments. For example, "If 6 and 8 started a band, what kind of music would they play?" or "If 9 and 4 got together, how would that happen?" So ask away.

Wwriter's group people? We need to decide on a time(s) to hang out this week.

Also, I watched SG-1 last night, and frankly, I was disappointed. I found it rather slow and predictable.

A Tale of Two Fandoms (crossover of your choice)
Sunday, March 25th, 2007 09:56 pm (UTC)
That would be a 10th Kingdom/Fables crossover. Prior to realizing that she's preganant, Snow and Bigby bump into another couple right before they enter the movie theater on their first date. Virginia and Wolf are clearly not simple Mundies, but they're from no fairy tale that Snow's ever heard of. Bigby seems to consider Wolf a slightly amusing and moronic cousin, and Snow gets a little annoyed with how solicious both men twords Virginia (she's pregnant, not made of glass, and Snow can't help but like the woman when Virginia points this out.)

They have a very interesting conversation on the street of new york, full of references that people who know those two fandoms would understand, but are lost on the characters. When the two couples part, neither set is fully sure of who the others are.

As Virginia and Wolf walk back twords their resturant, Wolf comments that when Snow's cubs are born, they should set up a play date with their daughter. "So Bigby's also..." Virginia asked.

Wolf nodds, "Very much of the wolfish persausion."

Virginia frowns. "Now I really wish I'd gotten her number," adding sotto voce "I would have loved to compare notes."

Hee, wonderful!

. . . and a plotbunny sank its fangs in. An extended version, and an AU, wherein they did exchange contact information. Having kept in touch when the time comes that Bigby asks Snow to decide between taking the kids to the farm and living on the run in the wilderness with him, they also have plan C: Heading to the nine kingdoms. Despite the anti-wolf sentiment that is common in the kingdoms, they'd still have the option of sticking together as a family without having to hide from the mundys. Adventures and wacky misunderstandings abound, and there is mutual weirding out when Snow meets her alternate's grandson.

Yeah, Bigby, in that situation a Plan C would have been nice. *roll eyes a little*

I like that idea. Plus, you know Virginia would have given them the names of people who would help them out.

It would be great to play with the idea of two Snow Whites; as I was writing, I realized that that Snow White in the 10th Kingdom was Virginia's godmother. What a great conversation that would be:

"I'm Snow White."

"No you're not."

"I think I know who I am, thank you."

"But Snow White is my godmother."

Bigby: "Snow, all these years and you didn't introduce me to your godchild? I'm hurt."

Snow: "That's because I don't have a godchild."

Bigby: "You sure? Cause Virginia seems pretty certain."

Wacky adventures with Snow and the Big Bad Wolf in the 10th Kingdoms sounds like so much fun. *wishes both fandoms were bigger.*

When your fandoms are too small, and there's an idea you'd love to read, I see one possible solution: Write it yourself.

. . . or at least add it to your insanely long 'to write' list. Which is what I keep doing. Maybe we could co-write something?

Well, I want to get caught up on fables before I actually commit to writing anything, and since my to-do list is insane... ask me in the summer. ^_^

I'm actually already co-writing a fic with some other people, have a challange fic that going to be due soon, and have a multi-chaptered fic that's beating at the doors of my brain. Plus, you know, schoolwork.

I try not to have too many irons in the fire.

I meant that in the sense of "Thing that would be awesome to do at some unspecified future point" as my own current workload and brain chemistry aren't in favour of taking on a massive new project.

So in the sense of "Theoretically awesome thing to work on when we both have more time to work on it, if we don't both wind up forgetting about this entirely when that time comes", are you with me?

In the sense of "Theoretically awesome thing to work on when we both have more time to work on it, if we don't both wind up forgetting about this entirely when that time comes," yes.

Oh, and what day are you planning on driving back?
is boring and cannot come up with meme prompts, sorry.

Really? You don't even want to know what random number and random number would be like as cat girls? It's clearly a good thing you're on vacation. (I tease, but I've been in the same place, where anything creative is impossible.)
