Calling Anyone With Blue Hair?

Okay, so my mom wanted to go to NorWesCon as Chiana (I was going to go as Aeryn) only the wig hasn't come. From our massive dress-up chest, we found a blue wig, and I was wondering if anyone knows of characters with blue hair and simple costumes?

At this point, this is more an idle question, since mom is probably just going to make a cool, nonspecific costume and I think I'm going either a.) dress up as a what's known as a 'normal girl' or b.) just spike the hell out of my hair and finally have an excuse to use the black eyeshadow that I have and go as a lazy goth.

The only other character that has blue hair and wears normal clothes is the Neil Gaiman movie Coraline. She has blue hair and wears normal clothes, though most of time the stills I see are those in her PJs, winter clothes, or her yellow rain jacket.

Oh, great idea! (I can't wait to see that movie, I'm sorry I missed it in theatres.)

It's a cute movie, in a odd, scary way. It makes me ship Wybie/Coraline because it possibly the sweetest vision of a love/hate relationship.

Thanks for the ideas!

I suppose you could go as Konan, but you would need a black coat or bathrobe, red cloth or paper, and pins.

I think she has blue hair.

Have fun cosplaying!

I hadn't thought of Konan, but that's a really good idea!

Glad to help!

And I was really hoping to see you at SakuraCon!

I know! It's really too bad! Anyway, when I'm back in town, we should have tea some time.

Definitely! In the meantime, I'll send photos from SakuraCon and and you post some from NorWesCon.

Will do!

I vote Konan as well.

Noted.

Is it long? If it is, I suggest Kaname Chidori of Full Metal Panic! fame. She basically wears the standard-issue Japanese-schoolgirl uniform, you could probably google her. (I am too tired to do it for you, I'm afraid)

It's short, actually, but thanks for the tip!

Another possibility is Molly Carpenter. Her hair is always changing various shades of blond, pink and blue, and the goth gear wouldn't be that hard to come by.

Oh, good idea!

If it's dark blue, Nico Robin from One Piece would be pretty easy -- she seems to wear pretty much everyday clothes, tank tops and jeans and such, albeit with a tendency towards stuff that's a bit snug or cropped or showing lots of cleavage. If it's more turquoise or light blue, you can go old-school with Bulma from Dragonball Z, who seemed to change outfits a lot and generally wear pretty normal clothes. And somebody already asked a general "characters with blue hair" suggestion thread on cosplay.com, with tons of suggestions (http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=162815).

Oh, Nico would be fun. The idea to do a One Piece group has actually been tossed around in my friends group.
