Fic: "You Choke Behind A Smile"
Title: You Choke Behind A Smile
Author: redbrunja
Fandom: Naruto
Rating: NC-17
Author's Note: This fic is... odd. And while the tenses are supposed to be all creative and dramatic, they might just be screwy. Also, long sentences like whoa. Written because there has been a painful lack of Kakashi/Sakura lately.
Characters: Kakashi/Sakura
Summary: Sooner or later, she'd break. Kakashi was sure of it.
Sooner or later, she'd break. Kakashi was sure of it.
Since Sasuke's return, since he'd rejoined Team 7, Sakura had been tense. Kakashi didn't think she even knew how much pressure she was under, with the way she kept smiling at Sasuke, keep making him bentos, keep pressing her lips together instead of chattering on as they all ate ramen after a mission.
Just one more time - if Sasuke would step between Sakura and enemy nin just one more time, surely she'd snap. She'd snap and Sasuke's teeth would be on the ground, she'd snap and yell so loudly that she'd be repairing their eardrums after she calmed down, she'd snap and wipe that dismissive, possessive look right of the Uchiha's face.
But no. It appeared that the smart, confident kunoichi who had fought Sasori of the Desert and directed repairs of Konoha had permanently vanished into a pale, passive, ghost of herself. He'd watch her grit her teeth, clench her fists until the leather of her gloves moaned, stare at the ground like Icha Icha was written in the dirt, and yet she continued to act like she was continually auditioning for the role of Uchiha Sakura.
Kakashi never thought he'd say this, but he missed her 12-year-old, obsessive self. At least that girl had been someone unique and not just the perfect wife for Sasuke.
He knew she was going to break.
Sooner or later.
But when it happened, he was taken completely by surprise.
In his defense, he'd expected violence. Massive, property-damaging violence. He'd never dreamed that she would show up on his doorstep after midnight and that when he invited her in, she'd kick off her boots, take one step forward to put the tips of her toes against his and shove her hand down his pants.
And he'd - he'd just thrust his hips against her, forced more of himself into her hand. He'd yanked down his mask, kissed her hard, biting at her bottom lip and drawing blood. She'd gasped and when he'd yanked down her black shorts, shoving her against his door, she'd merely wrapped her arms around his neck and held on while he fucked her.
Sasuke gives her a band of gold, a single ruby in the center and her back is flat against the mushy, waterlogged ground of Training Ground 10 while she grinds against Kakashi, making little needy noises in the back of her throat. Her fingers clench at the back of his shirt, the tips of her fingernails pricking his skin.
The rain patters on the grass around them, on the leaves over them and he unfastens his pants, pushes them down irritably. Sakura lifts herself, running her wet slit along his head until he pins her hips to the ground and penetrates her with a thrust that has her neck arcing back, raindrops sliding down the column of her throat.
She's wild now, clawing at his back, tugging at his hair, gasping oh please sensei more, and then she clenches around him, thighs shaking and the breath caught in her lungs.
He knew she'd break.
But Kakashi had never expected her to shatter like this, to live her life like she was someone else and fuck him with another man's ring on her finger while he selfishly clung to whatever shards of Haruno Sakura he could get his hands on.

I would hope that Sasuke survives... even if he annoys me to no end, to be honest. What with the way he's going about things, I wouldn't be surprised if he makes his attack, and Naruto has to take him on using whatever power it was that Itachi gave him.

Honestly, I have no hopes for when Sasuke comes back, beyond not wanting him and Sakura to end up together. What I'd REALLY like is for him to get some consequences for this actions, but I highly doubt that is going to happen.

In the extreme case, maybe there'll be a brawl for Naruto's love. -I highly doubt it, but the thought is cute.-
I don't see how Sasuke will NOT pay for what he's done. At least, that's what I'm hoping. Kishi can't possibly make all the younger watching think that there are no consequences for actions like this. But, I doubt it... I mean, look at Itachi, and he had all the right reasons -If there were such things-.
As it is, I think Naruto will probably vouch for Sasuke... and get the punishment lightened. What with the current events -chapter 449, must read-... I'm not happy with Sasuke at all, he's far too self-centered/selfish for his own good.
P.S. Can you tell I love this conversation?
P.P.S. Your birthday is July 22nd? Mine is July 20th! XD

It's this, though. See, 'good' villains in Naruto tend to redeem themselves (via one good act) and then die, which I almost hope is what happens with Sasuke. Because otherwise, Naruto is going to be all, 'I loves you, you get a slap on the wrist but everything is fine and dandy!'
p.s.s. Cancer rock!

I do prefer NaruSaku over SasuSaku, but it would be a miracle -and an outrage to the SasuSakus out there- if Sakura and Kakashi was canon. XD
That is completely correct. The bad guys always redeem themselves, from Zabuza all the way up to the newest. It's quite unrealistic... even though Kishi tries his best to make the idea plausible. Itachi may have indirectly saved the ninja world from war, but there's no excuse for killing your entire family. That, to me, is unredeemable.
But, it's all Kishi.
I would hope that Sasuke goes out like that. But, I think Kishi's -almost- obsession for Sasuke prevents him from doing so. It's completely disappointing, because Sasuke will probably get everything he wants while doing all the wrong things, and characters like Kakashi who fight tooth and nail for the people they love get the short end of the stick.
p.s.s. Yeah! ^^ Can't wait for it... gonna get a plushie... of some type.

Yeah, Hinata and Sakura (in relation to Hinata) don't have the personality to get all competitive regarding Naruto. And I would hope that Ino and Sakura would value their renewed friendship enough not to drag their dumb Sasuke-rivalry back into things.
Honestly, I would HATE it if Kishimoto made Kakashi/Sakura canon. There is no way Kishimoto is a good enough writer to make it not read as squicky as hell, regardless of the fact that it's my OTP. Sai/Sakura is what I would KILL to see as canon. They respect each other, work well together, and he's clearly crushing on her hardcore. Plus, it would be such a poke in the eye to Sasuke - to come back to Konoha and find Sakura doing someone who's like him with a personality upgrade.

I agree. KakaSaku is best left in the hands of those that know it best. -Which is hilariously ironic, because I don't think Kishi knows Kakashi as well as the fanfic writers do.- XD
SaiSaku has never crossed my mind, I have to say... but, I does sound absolutely adorable. I do believe he is crushing on her, now that I look back... A poke in the eye might be nice for Sasuke. Sai is totally badass in his own right... Bonds totally rocked because of him.

Yeah, I think Ino is both a.) more independent than Sakura b.) more realistic and c.) cared much, much less about Sasuke.

*snerk* I think a lot of times, the (good) fanficcers have a better grasp on the characters than Kishimoto does.
I am totally hardcore about Sai x Sakura. It's not even funny. I've shipped them every since Sakura laid him out across the road, and I adore their relationship to bits.

They do. The best fanfic writers outdo Kishi on any day of the week. XD I'd say you are one of those authors.
^^ I'll have to check it out then. I've seen a few fics, so I might go back and read them. Any recommendations?
