I don't really feel it. From my understanding, this kind of pairing has to either be the ultimate pairing for the main character long-term, or heavily implied to be so.
Of course, I haven't seen beyond 4 episodes into season 3, so I don't know if there's a lot of subtext laid for Wallace and
...I'm an idiot, who was looking at your icon. -_-()
Logan and Veronica? I think that's plausible. Although it might be worth noting that rather than prolong the inevitable, they do hook up in the first season. So theirs is more of an on/off than a will-they-ever-eventually thing.
But...still...Veronica has quite a few qualities in common with Ranma when it comes to knowing what kind of partner she wants, and Duncan is kind of her Kikyo...so, yeah, I can see it. You could say that the "will they ever" isn't about admitting their love, but rather "will they ever commit completely and stop ignoring that they're the best person for them."
Oh, now worries! The icon is a bit of a red herring.

This is true. However, the character archtypes are SUCH dead ringers that I think it works.
Hm...when I first thought of it in terms of Veronica, though, I thought of Veronica as the person who was more like Ranma or Inu Yasha in terms of romantic history and inhibitions and indecision. I should probably read more of the definitions of each role before I speak to it further.
Hmm, I'm not really sure. Because they actually get together pretty quickly. And god knows they don't stay that way, but I think it quickly becomes less about the tension and more about the angst with them.
Of course, they do go through periods of denying any feeling whatsoever toward each other while still coming to each other's rescue, so...
I think it works. The character types are a dead match and I think the on again off again nature of their relationship qualifies as a variant of will they won't they.
Meh. The big thing with a Takahashi Couple is that they're always denying that they have a thing for each other, even though it's obvious that they do. Whereas I don't ever remember Logan and Veronica denying it (except maybe early S1), it was just that their clashing personalities made it hard for them to stay together for long.
