So, when I got back from college, I finagled it so I had one free bookshelf for library and to-read books.

I was thinking this would
It's already full, even before I got to the library.

The Summer Reading List:

All The Fishes Come Home To Roost, Dracula (the original), The Sound & The Fury, Nation, The Audacity of Hope, Coin Locker Babies, Blood Cult, White Witch Black Curse, Wicked Lovely, Song of the Lioness (reread), Finders Keepers, Whitechapel Gods, Kitty & The Midnight Hour (reread) A Necessary Evil, Soul Music, Soon I Will Be Invincible, and a couple volumes of Basara

*deep breath*

Just to let you know? All the books I mentioned? Don't all fit of my To-Read bookshelf. So much for my clever plot.

Oh,haha. People get a fit when they stumble into my room. I have about 30 TR books spread beside my bed. Quite an imposing sight, really. I can't seem to stop myself from borrowing/buying when it comes to books. D:

Don't know if you're interested in recs (since you've got so many here already, hah), but 'The Hunger Games' by Suzanne Collins is... WHOA. Very, very whoa. Absolutely epic.

That does sound impressive.

And what is Hunger Games about?

Well, I'd classify it as an action/romance/survival young-adult book. A teenage girl is forced to compete in a 24-man-enters-1-man-leaves battle. To say more would be giving it away, but lemme just say this - there is so much complexity to this book. It's so gripping, and it sucks your emotions dry. If you loved Alanna, I think you'll eat this one up.

Any good recs from you?

If you haven't read Pierce's "Terrier" yet, do. It's fabulous.

Same with most of Sarah Dessen's work (I'd reccomend "Just Listen") and I'm really enjoying a book called 'Soon I Will Be Invincible" which is kinda of similar to Watchmen expect with actually likable characters and a sense of humor. Also, for a good mystery, The Killing Hour by Lisa Gardner.

GAH I loved 'Just Listen', as well as 'The Truth About Forever'. Seems like we have somewhat compatible tastes, so I'll check out your recs sometime soon. Haven't read the other ones you suggested.

Have I recced you 'Hunting and Gathering' yet? It's such a good book to read when you're cold. Warms your heart right up. ^_^
