Heh, yep, that is the Trope magic all right.

TV Tropes is kind of interesting, as it can be pleasant if you're careful, but some sections (Alternate Character Interpretation is one) can result in INSTANT RAGE. That's just my experience, though. ^^;

I saw an icon in passing once that I'm desperate to find again (and, of course, can't). It was the TVTropes logo and the text 'well, there goes your day'.
