Hokage-chan (Kakashi/Sakura)
He was the only man who calls the Hokage '-chan' in public and Kakashi decides he hates Sasuke for that most of all.
It's the reason he avoids being one of her ANBU guards at all costs.
Sometimes it was inescapable; there weren't enough ninjas to cover all the missions, much less be picky about their assignments, and the Hokage hadn't forgotten that Sasuke had once tried to destroy the very clans he was now sitting among.
Sasuke would never wear a Konoha hitai-ate again -but he got his vengeance in other ways.
In his ripely pregnant wife who never left his side, her ragged hair matching Sasuke's blood-colored eyes.
In the way he drawled out the Hokage's name, "Sakura-chaaaaan" stretching the honorific like he could force her back into being the love-sick girl he could walk all over.
Even getting to see the head of Torture and Interrogating snark at the Uchicha, her blue eyes chilly and vicious, even seeing Sakura refuse to place Sasuke's interests over Konoha's again and again and again could make hearing that dismissive "Sakura-chan" bearable.
The only think worse was afterward.
When the meeting was over, Ino would storm out like she was late for a battle, Inuzuka at her heels.
The Hyuugas would escort Karin to her home, Neji distantly polite and Hinata clearly attempting to crack Karin's haughty facade.
And Kakashi would stay, unseen, at the edges of the Hokage's office, listening as Sakura coaxed Sasuke into a better temper, using her mouth and hands and breasts and cunt to shackle Sasuke and his bloodline limit to Konoha.
The Proper Way To Say Goodbye (Anko/Iruka)
The evening after Anko gets the mission scroll, she fucks Iruka exactly the way he likes it.
She kisses him the way he kisses her, all soft lips and nibbles and brief flashes of tongue. When she straddles him, hair loose and dark around her shoulders, she moves slowly, pays attention to every inch of him that sinks inside her, the way he grips her hips hard enough to leave bruises. Moving slow, it's impossible to ignore the way he looks at her, his eyes hot and soft and she clenches, spasms, climaxes around him.
Always the gentlemen, he only comes after she does.
She doesn't even put up a fake struggle when he holds her close before falling into a post-coital doze.
She wakes him up with a blow-job.
She usually hates giving them, but this time she uses every trick Orochimaru taught her.
Anko licks along his length, tracing her tongue along the bottom of his cock before taking his head in her mouth and giving one hard suck. She returns to teasing him, fingernails tracing abstract symbols along his thighs while her mouth gives his erection little sucking kisses that have his hips rolling upwards. He's babbling a bit, voice thick with lust and hands gripping and tugging at her hair even before she takes him deep into her mouth, swallows him down her throat 'till she can almost feel his balls against her lower lip.
Iruka comes with a shout loud enough to wake the neighbors.
Walking to the gates of Konoha to meet Tenzo and that ROOT kid, Anko's left hand itches.
Giving excellent head wasn't the only thing Orochimaru taught her; she wants to make sure he understands exactly what a good student she really was.
Wrong (Sakura/Sai)
Sai thinks he's in love with her.
He tell her so, six months after they start having sex.
In typically Sai fashion, he tells her at the worst moment possible - not during or immediately proceeding sex, when she can ignore it or blow it off as the verbal effects of the dopamine intercourse releases into the human body.
No, he tell hers her in the fucking library, where she can't yell or hit him or distract him with her tongue in his throat.
So she just stares at him stupidly and then walks away.
He follows her.
"It's rude to simply leave without any verbal or physical gestures of goodbye," he comments at her elbow.
She whirls to face him. "Don't tell me you love me ever again," she hissed, voice low. "You bastard, don't you realize when you say things like that I believe you?"
Sage Advice (Kakashi, Sai/Sakura)
Kakashi felt a headache coming on.
It could be from using his sharingan against the missing nin that they'd just routed, or from Naruto's loud, annoying whoops while they routed said missing nin, but it was more likely because Sai had just informed him that Sai had a sexual interest in Haruno Sakura.
Poor bastard.
"Sai," Kakashi said cheerfully, "I don't think she's that type of girl."
Across the clearing, Sakura was yelling at Naruto for being stupid enough to get in the way of four dozen senbon.
"She's type O," Sai said helpfully.
"I meant," said Kakashi carefully, "that if you're looking for someone.... might I suggest Anko?"
Sai looked confused.
"I asked Anko and she said I should talk to you," he said.
"Anko said no?" Kakashi raised his eyebrows in shock, "how... novel."
"No, she said that you would have more experience in this than I would."
Kakashi chuckled. "Well, that isn't even close to true."
"So you can't instruct me in how best to reduce the emotional barriers between myself and Sakura?"
Kakashi rapidly re-evaluated the conversation. "Oh, that's what you were interested in?" He chortled. "Sorry, I thought you were interested in Sakura romantically."
"Oh, I am," Sai beamed. "But pleasing Sakura sexually in much less challenging than attempting to navigate the social aspects our our relationship."
Dirty Little Secret (Itachi/Sakura)
Itachi was used to being persued.
He was Uchiha, he was ANBU, he was handsome, he was elite, and when he choose to lose his virginity (at precisely sixteen and six months and more to ensure that his sexual skills where up to par than for any need for release) he had his pick of women.
When Sakura lost her virginity she was fifteen and wrenched at his clothes like if she didn't get to his skin she'd die and he was cutting her clothes away and when he was finally in her, he lasted for a shamefully short time. He was never more grateful for the sharingan than that night; bespelling Sakura and giving her pleasure that arched her bad and made her scream (he covered her mouth with a hand and smirked) to make up for his regretfully lacking performance in real life.
In the morning, Sakura told him that this was a one-time thing, and to please, please not mention in to anyone, ever, especially Sasuke (as if he discussed his affairs with his foolish younger brother). Itachi agreed.
And then he chased.
He didn't decided on Sakura because she was impressive. She wasn't, or at least she wasn't impressive not in the way that he was, not in the way of prodigies. She was impressive because she wasn't. He'd known her when she was crushing on his brother and obsessed with her looks, he watched her push herself, watched her demand that her opponent take her seriously, watched her demand that the Hokage train her, watched her compensate for her (relative) lack of chakra through sheer stubborness until she was the first member of Team 7 to make jounin, and she fucked the prodigy of the Uchiha clan on the night of her promotion.
And then walked away.
She had her reasons "I don't want people thinking I'm just replacing Sasuke with another Uchiha" she said, as if he wasn't vastly superior to Sasuke, who still hadn't realized that wooing a woman required more than acting like an aloof asshole. "I don't want people thinking I slept my way to my appointment," said the only non-Uchiha who could hold her own in a genjutsu battle against the sharingan.
"I just don't want people to know," she said, and finally he snapped, knocked her legs out from under her and pinned her to the kitchen floor.
"Why?" he snapped, "do you honestly think you can do better?"
Sakura turned her head to the side, refused to meet his eyes.
He licked a line up her neck, bit her ear. "Answer me," he said with deadly softness. She heard the threat, he knew. He felt her body stiffen under his, and if he hadn't already been hard, that would have made him rise.
"What happens after you get tired of me?" Sakura said thickly. "Everyone would know, just like everyone knew I loved Sasuke. And then nothing else I did - nothing else I am, would ever matter as much as the fact that you cast me aside. I couldn't stand to have people looking at me with pity," she spat out the last.
Itachi shifted his hips against hers, rocked into the soft notch between her legs.
"If anyone looked at my wife with pity," he breathed, "I'd burn their eyes out for her."
Play It Again, Sam (Soul/Maka)
When Maka's mother died, Soul played until his fingers bruised.
Maka didn't cry when she received the telegram. She just hunched over for a minute while Soul felt their energy snap apart like a over-stretched rubber band, shook briefly, and then straightened up and went to go make the arrangements for her mother's body to be transported back to Death City.
Death Scythe sobbed through the whole funeral. Maka handed him tissue after tissue with an annoyed looked on her face, and was the first person to walk away from the graveside as soon as Shinigami-sama's words stopped.
She didn't come to the wake.
Soul returned to their apartment to find her lying on her bed in her lovely black dress, skirt spilling over the edge like blood seeping away.
He knocked roughly on her door, stuck his head in when she didn't answer.
"I made dinner," he growled, even though it wasn't his turn.
"I"m not hungry," she said softly, and turned her face towards the wall.
And that's all she did; lie on her bed.
She wander to the bathroom at random intervals, and sometimes she'd nibble on crackers, but basically all she did for three days straight was stare at her wall and lie on top of the covers.
(Soul raised the thermostat.)
On the fourth day, he got Black Star to help him steal Kid's piano.
They set it up right in the living room, which was too small for it. Soul had to pile the piano bench and the coffee table on the couch and it was impossible to see the TV (which Black Star complained about loudly while Tsubaki futilely tried to shush him).
As soon as the piano was inside, he kicked both of his friends out and started to play.
He had to perch the edge of his ass on the windowsill, which was totally uncool, but he did it.
And he played.
He played the same music he had the first time he met Maka, he played his favorite songs, he even played her favorite songs, he played until he could barely tell what he was playing, until each note was match by a dull throb of pain from just below his fingernail all the way to his knuckles.
And then Maka was there, sitting down next to him and her head was on his shoulder and then he was holding her with numb hands while she sobbed into his shoulder and tears soaked through his t-shirt.
Little Blind Girl (Toph)
Most of the time, Toph doesn't feel blind.
Sure, sometimes she misses stuff because of her eyes, like posters or the names of streets or 'no trespassing' signs, but on the whole she does better than fine.
She feels blind as soon as she walks into her old house.
As her mother hugs her too-tightly, tears dripping onto Toph's hair, she would swear she could hear all the bits of herself that she loves - the Blind Bandit, the Runaway, the metalbender- walking away, leaving nothing but a little blind girl behind.
He was the only man who calls the Hokage '-chan' in public and Kakashi decides he hates Sasuke for that most of all.
It's the reason he avoids being one of her ANBU guards at all costs.

*pities Kakashi* What did you do in another life to make you deserve this Kakashi-san? I do love the idea of Sakura as Hokage. Lol at Anko sending Sai to Kakashi for romantic advice.
And stop it, you're making me ship Sakura/Itachi. "Dirty Little Secret" was smokin' hot!
I'm going to have to give Soul Eater a try, all of the cool kids seem to be watching that these days.

He was late. And Sakura as Hokage will never not be awesome.
You should totally watch Soul Eater, it's awesome!

"Hokage-chan" was heartbreaking, since you get the feeling that the only reason Sasuke's not married to Sakura is because she said no...which makes the loyalty angle really skewed and tragic and KAKASHIIIIIII T.T
"The Proper Way to Say Goodbye" broke my heart too, that last line coupled with the title made me reread the whole thing just to kind of get the bigger picture, if that makes any sense? IRUKAAAAAAAAAAAA T.T
"Wrong" was kind of charming, in an incredibly screwed up way. Of course it'd be Sakura who has the issues with the word love :o( SAKURAAAAAA T.T (I promise to stop doing that now XD)
"Sage Advice" had me laugh and really, REALLY want a spin off fic where Anko and Kakashi share their pearls of wisdom to the younger crowd XD
"Dirty Little Secret" was my absolute favorite though <3. I love Sakura's hesitance and Itachi dealing with being on the other side of the bargain for once. This line absolutely killed me:
And then nothing else I did - nothing else I am, would ever matter as much as the fact that you cast me aside
SAKURAAAAAA T.TAgain, these were really wonderful, thank you for sharing! <3
no subject
Yeah, Sakura is certainly saying no to a couple of things Sasuke wants, even as she says yes to others.
hat last line coupled with the title made me reread the whole thing just to kind of get the bigger picture, if that makes any sense? IRUKAAAAAAAAAAAA T.T
Yep. I'm pretty sure that Iruka doesn't know that Anko isn't intending to come back.
"Sage Advice" had me laugh and really, REALLY want a spin off fic where Anko and Kakashi share their pearls of wisdom to the younger crowd XD
The poor kids would end up so traumatized.
And everyone seems to really like the Itachi/Sakura.
And then nothing else I did - nothing else I am, would ever matter as much as the fact that you cast me aside
SAKURAAAAAA T.T
I know, right?
no subject
Wow, that was really unexpected, for me at least. I honestly didn't see it going there, but I think it made the fic that much better. Gut punch in a good way.
I liked the Kakashi one a lot, but I think my favorite was the Itachi/Sakura. I honestly don't care all that much about this pairing, but it's really hot when you write it. I especially liked all Itachi's leashed violence, because he's hot when he's deranged...
These were great, thanks!
no subject
And yes, Hokage-chan when to a dark place. I like it though.
And I wish more people paid attention to the fact that Itachi, you know, murdered his family and is capable of that kind of violence.
I'm glad you enjoyed!

Ouch. That's spot on and perfect. Oh, Toph.
Sage Advice:
"Oh, I am," Sai beamed. "But pleasing Sakura sexually in much less challenging than attempting to navigate the social aspects our our relationship."
I don't read/watch Naruto, so I don't really know the characters, but that line wins.

I read the IruAnko one before. That was kink meme stuff, right? And the SasuSaku one... well written. But I hated it. Only because poor Kakashi had to listen to that and Sasuke was... ugh. Hate him.
The ItaSaku one was very interesting. I do think Itachi was maybe just a teensy out of character... but that last line was sweet.
The Toph one... awww! The last section though... "she would swore she could hear..." That does read a little awkwardly. But it didn't really detract from how sweet and very Toph-like it all was. I think I liked this one the best.
no subject
This was actually for another meme I did - where someone else writes me a ficlet and then I write them a ficlet in that same pairing.
And the SasuSaku one... well written. But I hated it. Only because poor Kakashi had to listen to that and Sasuke was... ugh. Hate him.
I like it only because Kakashi suffers beautifully and I don't think of Sasuke as a mature person in any way.
The ItaSaku one was very interesting. I do think Itachi was maybe just a teensy out of character... but that last line was sweet.
*nods* I actually had a long conversation with that about the person with whom I was exchanging ficlets. I enjoyed writing the violence in that fic but I think (like you said) he's rather asexual, so I don't know if I can see him pursuing Sakura, even if he wanted to.
But it didn't really detract from how sweet and very Toph-like it all was. I think I liked this one the best.
Awww. Thank you.

Wrong: ...This broke my heart for both of them. Sakura, your insecurity issues and problems with love.
Sage Advice: LOL Oh, Sai. Go for the sex, the emotions are too confusing? XD I hate to say typical guy, but...
Dirty Little Secret: Mmmm. Oh, AU Itachi, you are the perfect dark and menacing boyfriend with a soul. The last line sold it for me. I loved Sakura's reasoning and how very easy it is to understand her here.
Play It Again, Sam: Adorable and horribly sad, and a scene I can very clearly see happening in my head. I like Soul being quietly, (well, musically) there for Maka.
Little Blind Girl: Brilliant. Captures her relationship with her parents very clearly in very few words. I think it's natural for children, even without Toph's disability, to feel smaller and more dependent around their parents, anyway, but for Toph it looks like she doesn't feel safer and nurtured, but rather crippled by the parental influence.

I picked up Soon I Will Be Invincible today and I am excited to start reading it. :)
EDIT: Oh! And the last one with Toph. I love that especially because I feel I can sympathize. Most of the time my parents are my rock but every once in a while there aren't any other people who could make me feel more like a little girl still. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad.

I'm not a fan of Itachi/Sakura either, but I really liked the issues and dynamics I was able to explore with that fic.

*nods* For a while my mom had to call me on that - that just because she was around, I didn't get to stop being an adult.
And I hope you enjoy Soon I Will Be Invincible - I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it.

Play It Again makes me sad and happy at the same time. It seems like it would be in character if something happened to her mother. I wish I could hear it. Even though the overall theme is sad, moving the piano made me giggle like mad.
Little Blind Girl: I haven't read about Toph as anything but macho, so I'm liking her acting human instead of the just the fanimage of her. I think she would cry (at first anyway) if she went back to her family for a bit. And cover up like mad if anyone saw her. Acting like a little girl and then denying everything.

Yeah, I love the image of the piano that takes up their whole living room, and Soul having to plop his ass down on the windowsill.

Yeah, the perfect, macho characterization that the creators sometimes and the fans always portray Toph with is one of the reasons that I have a really hard time liking her. Also, it was her mother that was crying - the tears are dripping onto Toph's head.

Also...MAKA!!!! Aw, that fic broke my heart, but I just couldn't help but smile at how Soul knows just how to coax her out of her room. He is the coolest guy ever. <3
And you write the best Sai/Sakura ever. I always love your Sai. He is adorable.

So much agreement I can't even.
He is the coolest guy ever. <3
He is one of the few people who is exactly as cool as he thinks he is.
I always love your Sai. He is adorable.
I have a Sai plushie. This Sai plushie gets snuggled a ridiculous amount.
