Okay, who on my flist watches Chuck? Show of hands, please.

If you don't, let me pimp for a moment. Chuck is show about a guy named Chuck (surprise, surprise), who was kicked out of college, had his girlfriend stolen by his best friend, and has been working at a dead-end computer repair job at Buy More for the last five years. Then his former best friend sends him an email that uploads the entire NSA and CIA databases into his head.

Why you should watch this show:

-it's Get Smart meets Alias

-it only gets better in the second season.

- it has platonic, familial, and romantic relationships, and all of them are treated as important.

-the writing is consistently top-notch.

- it's funny. And honestly funny, not fake sitcom funny.

-it's dramatic. When they want to rip your heart out, they do.

-Adam Baldwin.

-fantastic action sequences. In which the main heroine kicks so much ass.

-great outfits.

Now, if anyone on my flist has actually watched this show, I would love to squee about it in all it's spoilery glory and find out what other people thing about the game-changer finale.

*nods and approves of everything above* Chuck is a rare, rare gem in television. Thank God NBC decided to continue airing it.

"I know Kung Fu." BWAH. That scene is priceless.

ORION. AWESOME~ HE'S THE SECRET KEEPER~ I wonder if they're going to take him on missions next season. AWESOME.

Ergh. I need to watch some of the last episodes, it's been a long time since I watched them.

Actually, I was really, really not thrilled with that scene. First, it made Chuck stop being a reluctant protag by giving him the exact same arc as every other psudo-reluctant hero (I want to be normal! Except then I can't help my friends! Give me my powers back!). and then I can't imagine him knowing martial arts NOT making Casey and Sarah redundant to some extent.
