I just witnessed the most perfect summer storm of my life.
Six hours ago I was lying on the beach studying; the sky was blue, the air was warm, the water was cool. After dinner, a storm blew it - there was lightning and thunder, and this gentle soft rain.
I spent probably over an hour standing on the balcony of my dorm with a bunch of other people, just watching the lightning stike - it would like up whole sections of the sky.
There's a quote about how god exists because nature is better than it needs to be, and that's what I feel right now. Just awed.
