Oh my god I got the best news today.

My pysch final was canceled.

My pysch final was canceled.

My pysch final was canceled.

*shrieks of joy*

I am DONE. Done, finished, completed.

Thank you Merciful Goddess, thank you awesome, wondrous cutie who came up to me and let me know, thank you 96% average that means I don't need to take the optional make up test on Friday.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I just don't have words for how happy I am. I don't need to stress out and study today. I don't need to get up at 6 am tomorrow, I don't need to worry about my fucked up sleep schedule because tomorrow I can sleep in as late as I want to.

Tonight, you know what I can do? I can watch tv. I can writing porn. I can upload userpics, I can read, I can sleep, I can lie in my bed and wallow in the bliss of not having a test tomorrow.

I'm practically hyperventilating with glee. Universe, thank you so, so, so much.

I'm so beyond happy right now.

Holy shit, that is like the awesomest thing ever. Hooray for cancelled finals!

Also, the library got Fables: March of the Wooden Soldiers, and though it appears says it's issues 19-21 and 23-27, I checked it out anyway.
Wednesday, June 13th, 2007 08:57 pm (UTC)
Isn't it? I should be in the world record book for things that are just made of win.

*shakes head at the foolish library.* That's kind of foolish, considering what a good intro the first book was, and how totally in the middle of the story that section is.

Well, I hope you enjoy even if it is out of order, and if you're interested, I have what's been published on my computer, so you can read it in order, as long as you don't mind it being on a computer screen.

That's be cool. I wondered if the Library had the others, but I didn't look very hard since most of their manga starts at issue 3, or 5, or 16.

I can't believe librarians would be so sloppy about buying books. Especially with graphic novels where it's so clear that it's a series.
Thursday, June 14th, 2007 05:33 am (UTC)
I got the impression that they order a batch, including the first ones, but there's something up with the shipping.
Thursday, June 14th, 2007 05:46 am (UTC)
Weird.
Sunday, June 17th, 2007 08:19 am (UTC)
Ah.
Wednesday, June 13th, 2007 09:27 pm (UTC)
Awesome for you! I am sooo freaking jealous!! I wish my final was cancelled... Oh well. Can't wait to see you when you come home for summer break.
Thursday, June 14th, 2007 05:42 pm (UTC)
I can't wait to see you either! And went I told my friends I was like, 'can I tell you something that will make you hate me?'
Wednesday, June 13th, 2007 11:29 pm (UTC)

Thursday, June 14th, 2007 04:05 am (UTC)

Thursday, June 14th, 2007 12:23 am (UTC)

Thursday, June 14th, 2007 03:39 am (UTC)
The smut was awesome and the cheery on top of the sunday that is today.
Thursday, June 14th, 2007 01:23 am (UTC)
YAY RED! :D I cheer for joo!
Thursday, June 14th, 2007 03:38 am (UTC)
Thank you! I cheer as well!
Thursday, June 14th, 2007 01:33 am (UTC)
well yay...how do you cancel a final I don't know but yay
Thursday, June 14th, 2007 03:07 am (UTC)
Totally yay.

Since the final was worth as much as the other three test, our grade is just averaged out over three tests instead of four.
Thursday, June 14th, 2007 03:25 am (UTC)
ah i see. I do that too since i hate making finals worth so much more (which gets me in trouble)
Thursday, June 14th, 2007 04:03 am (UTC)
How so? How do you get in trouble?
Thursday, June 14th, 2007 04:05 am (UTC)
the rest of the biology team look down on me and another prof who do that especially since we refuse to weight the final. I feel doing that hurts the good students who might have a lot of other exams or helps a student who's pissed around all semester. I also think it shortchanges the other exams
Thursday, June 14th, 2007 04:31 am (UTC)
I'm with you.

I'd rather get judged for my overall performance and not just one test.
Thursday, June 14th, 2007 04:41 am (UTC)
that's how i always felt and to be honest 90% of my professors did it that way too
Thursday, June 14th, 2007 05:27 am (UTC)
Sounds like they were good teachers.
Thursday, June 14th, 2007 01:12 pm (UTC)
you know all around I mostly had good professors. The notable exception was the Anatomy prof in medical school, some famous seminar lecture. His ass got fired the next year because the podiatry students (me), medical and dental students failed anatomy on the national boards at a very high level (like 80%)
Sunday, June 17th, 2007 07:49 am (UTC)
That must have been really satisfying. That he got fired. And made you feel better about about flunking the test.
Sunday, June 17th, 2007 01:56 pm (UTC)
nods. Only i didn't flunk that (I flunked another one that was very unfair since it was NOT what it was supposed to be. in fact it had an 80% failure rate and we were all retested for FREE)
Tuesday, June 19th, 2007 07:37 am (UTC)
You must have felt even better, then, to pass when so many didn't. And I'm glad they didn't charge for retesting.
Saturday, June 23rd, 2007 02:23 am (UTC)
i did but failing the one i did was embarrassing and haunted me the rest of my career in getting a residency
Saturday, June 23rd, 2007 10:08 pm (UTC)
Oh, ouch! Which test was it and why did it effect your chances of a residency so much?
Saturday, June 23rd, 2007 11:22 pm (UTC)
you have to be better than perfect to get a residency. You're not just competing against your school but ALL the schools in your field across the country. It sucked (it was lower anatomy and actually now that I think about it THAT was the anatomy one that we got to retake because it was all back and hip and NOT knee, foot and ankle like we were trained)
Sunday, June 24th, 2007 06:00 am (UTC)
*shakes head*

That bites. You'd think with how badly we need doctors getting a job would be easier.
Sunday, June 24th, 2007 02:53 pm (UTC)
you have no idea how hard. Best part I was just talknig about this last night, one job interview I had after i completed my residency was in Newport News and he opened negoitations with, "i'm still seeing patients. I know, why don't you go to my office, get undressed and slip into my tanning bed!'

I'm thinking 'save me.'
Monday, June 25th, 2007 02:20 pm (UTC)
i have plenty more like that
Monday, June 25th, 2007 08:05 pm (UTC)
one time on the phone for a job in new orleans (our job boards are like dating services, you just get a number and NOT a name so you can't call and harrass them) the doctor asked me for my height weight and bust size. I said you can't ask me that! He replied he was so-and-so, and he had half of new orleans sewen up and he could do what he wanted.

I replied oh i know you. You interviewed me for a residency. I'm part of the class action sexual harrassment suite filed against you for your actions during CRIPS (a nationwide convention for residency searchs)
Wednesday, June 27th, 2007 05:44 am (UTC)
Oh sweet Lord.

How could someone be so aweful that he got multiple people pissed at him durning a convention? What was he doing, bashing women with a club and trying to drag them back to his lair?

And god, what an arrogant ass.
Wednesday, June 27th, 2007 01:46 pm (UTC)
you have no idea how bad those residency interviews were. First to make it more affordable for the students they come to one hotel (usually one weekend in the east, then the midwest...)hundreds of residencies at once. And then they usually get drunk. I was interviewed by people so drunk i know they didn't remember me.

THis doctor offered every girl i know the position (of which there was just one) if they'd sleep with him. Sadly I know several who DID
Saturday, June 30th, 2007 06:47 pm (UTC)
That sounds so horrific. And oh, god, those poor, poor girls.

I really, really hope he got fired.
Sunday, July 1st, 2007 02:38 am (UTC)
i never did find out what happened with that lawsuit
Monday, July 2nd, 2007 06:03 am (UTC)
Well, I'd like to think he was found guilty on all counts, but considering our justice system....
Monday, July 2nd, 2007 08:26 pm (UTC)
nods
Thursday, June 14th, 2007 11:39 am (UTC)
Congratulations! *dances for you*
Thursday, June 14th, 2007 05:40 pm (UTC)
*dances as well*

If it hadn't been cancelled, at this very moment I'd be filling in multiple choice bubbles. Instead I'm commenting to people.

*does happy dance*
