1. What widespread fandom opinion (like/dislike/ship/trope/canon/actitivy whatever) most confuses you?
Ship manifestoes. First of all, I think it places to much emphasis on 'proving' a pairing's worth based on how canon it is, and secondly, the ones I've read have been a lot of text telling me things about the characters I already know. If you want to convince me about a ship, just write an excellent fic.
2. Do you have any part of your personal fanon for anything that you consider canon, like you just can't imagine it isn't true even if canon hasn't ever said it?
No, not really.
3. If you had to pick and only watch TV OR read OR watch movies for the rest of your life, which one would you pick?
Books. While it would suck (partially because I would miss the medium and partially for the social aspect) but no movies is fairly doable. Going without tv would be brutal, but nothing like giving up books. Honestly, I don't think I COULD give up books if they were in any way available.
4. Was there anything you believed as a young kid that you were surprised to learn later you were mistaken (and maybe even now you see it was kind of silly?)
I originally thought Hootie and the Blowfish was a specific song about a boy named Hootie and his Blowfish. So when mom would play that band, I would be like, 'but where is the song about Hootie and his blowfish?' and my mom, who didn't understand what I was saying, would go, 'this IS Hootie and the blowfish.'
5. If you had a superpower, what would you want it to be?
I would love the power to control the weather.
