Okay, so in the first Chuck episode of the new season (which sucked, fyi) Morgan said that he was fired because he could no longer "foot the shrimp". What the hell does that mean? I thought it was 'flip the shrimp' but I have been informed that that was not what Morgan said.

Could it have been in the sense of 'foot the bill?' Except instead of a bill which one must step up and pay, it's carrying 'the shrimp' around.

It... doesn't make much sense, but...

Yeah, I don't know what was up with that episode. It was like everyone's personalities got rebooted to season one. The timeskip seemed really unnecessary.

I thought I heard "flip the shrimp" as well. Maybe the actor flubbed the line?

Yeah, I hated how they forced everyone back to season one. That was why I groaned painfully when Chuck downloaded the intersect again at the end of the second season. I could see the ugly, ugly writing on the wall.

The writers insisted they had all these great plans for his new abilities, but the two episodes have been like recycled first season Mad Libs with "tech skills" crossed out and "kung fu" scribbled in.

And I'm kind of sick of the Sarah/Chuck UST and angst. I liked it when they were either an actual couple or just cared about each other enough to be able to function as friends.

I NEVER believed that. Especially since at one point the creator was like 'oh, we always said Chuck would NEVER have powers - but then I changed my mind.'

And I was like, 'that's because you're an IDIOT.'

Same here.
