I just finished the month-long process of weeding out my iTunes library, which involved deleting around 250 songs, which works out to almost 8% of my total music library.
It feels much more impressive than it sounds.
By the time I was halfway done, I had already noticed my shuffle was giving me more songs that actually wanted to listen to.
(Also, I had a bizarre number of techno and smooth jazz songs. The smooth jazz I know Apple gave me. No clue why I put so much techno in my iTunes though).
Top played songs of the last couple of months? Dog Days Are Over by Florence + The Machine, Bulletproof by La Roux, Bones & Skin by Mirah, Girl With One Eye by Florence + The Machine, and Bach's Cello Suite no 1 prelude.
