I just realized that  I have never actually eaten Wonderbread. Huh.

Also, I'd love an episode where there was an alien species the needed humans or earth but would not damage them and the Doctor is like 'I WILL DESTROY YOU' and a companion is like '....whoa, hold up' and the Doctor ends up helping a dying species survive. BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE NEW AND DIFFERENT.

It really would. I keep thinking that he'd have more empathy towards the dying species because...hello, last of his species, but he goes for humanity every time. Could be because he has the human failing of sympathizing with the people who look more like him (or the script writers do). It reminds me of the argument I had with my dad over the Star Trek episode with the Horta carrying imperialistic overtones- my dad said the Horta didn't count as people because they didn't look like humans.

You know, I actually like that the Doctor has such a huge bias (can't tell if it's intentional or not) but humanity is clearly one way he stays sane, and I like the implications of 'you're time lord-shaped, meaning that humans were created in the Time Lords image e.g. basically humanity is his race's kids.

Which makes his bias understandable.
