So, I'm attempting to write 50,000 words in July. We'll see how it goes. Two thousand words a day is a HUGE challenge for me, regardless of what I'm writing, but it will at least get me writing every day or almost every day, plus it will get me in shape for NaNoWriMo this November, which I would like to do successfully at least once.

 

2093 / 50000 words. 4% done!

(Also, this word meter I'm using likes to hide behind my icon, so any suggestions for other quick word trackers would be much appreciated.)

That's a really good idea, actually. Good luck!

If centering it or aligning it to the right doesn't bother you, that'd probably keep it from hiding? Stuff does that for me because my layout has an inset icon as well.

my mind, you read it! except July has already started, and I have a buttload of outlining I've been avoiding or neglecting because the TLA reviews make for such fun popcorn reading.
