Re: SPOILERS FOR TRAILER

This opinion may also be unpopular, but I think it would also be awesome if the ultra religious girl still practiced religion by the end of the movie but learnt that bible bashing doesn't make you a good person and that it makes you the exact opposite of what a religious person should be.

That would be very cool. Regardless, I'm looking forward to seeing Amanda Bynes play her - I have a soft spot for that actress.

but “others traditionally aligned with a ‘conservative’ position have stood up for legal equality despite their own difficulties with accepting same-sex relationships.”

That is so inspiring to hear.

Also? The heroine? I already love her. I really hope the writers behind this movie do not screw up this movie.

*fingers crossed.

Agree with commenter above, I totally hope they don't screw it up.
The trailer looks incredible... please don't be awful!
Heroine is soooo pretty! I also like her complaining about the coupon to bath and bodyworks.

She is adorable! I adore her rosebud mouth.

I've never heard of this, but it looks hilarious and fun. I do think the protagonist looks a little too old, but I find the ballsy "yes, I'll wear an A" to be so interesting I *want* to know where it goes.

Me too! I was so disappointed to realize I was going to have to wait until September to watch it.

I watched it again, and I'm fascinated by her voice. It's unexpectedly deep. She has a classic smokey voice---or will, eventually.

She does! I really hope this movie is excellent and it's the beginning of great things for her.

That looks pretty funny. *writes down*

OMG I hope this is good. Love the concept. :p

Same here!

The movie looks entertaining, but I'm bugged by the implication that she was encouraging her friend to trick a girl into thinking he was interested in her so he wouldn't get picked on.

I have mixed feelings about that. On the one hand, yes, scummy thing to do to a girl, on the other, that is exactly the kind of advice I'd expect from an astute, unpopular teenager.

I looked at that as regular teenage obnoxiousness.
