So I Went To The Dentist Today...

Good news, I have no cavities.

Bad news, I'm going to need to get a spanner (like a mouth guard) because I apparently have wear on my teeth that should only be seen if I'm thirty.

Really bad, bad, remarkably awful news: I NEED TO GET MY FRACKING WISDOM TEETH OUT!

Do you know how much that's going to cost? $1,200-2,000.

Yep, that's right: TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS TO CUT FOUR TEETH OUT OF MY HEAD.

Approximately the price of the new car we're also going to need to buy me.

I don't even want to think of the books, manga, anime, clothes, makeup, food, DVDs, pens, and shoes that would buy.

Are they seriously talking about charging what I think they're charging? Because that is just *wrong*.

And I'm sorry. I will be in your shoes in another 10 months. I heard brewing black tea and then putting the bags in the freezer is good to do- then you put it where they pulled the teeth out when you get back from the doctor, and the cold helps the swelling and the pectin helps with infection.

They say it varies with how difficult it is to extract the teeth- and mine have some bone around them...but if we leave them in, odds are they ain't gonna crown (pop outta the gums) but they will grow roots, and oh gee, is that one right there gonna poke into some nerves? Why yes, we do believe it is.

Good to know about the tea, thanks.
