Out of utter curiosity, if I was chained up in your attic (I prefer attics, basements are damp and cold, attics theoretically at least have windows), and I had to write you one story, what would you request? Slash. With two male characters not established as a cannon couple or openly stated to be gay, merely treated in the sense of shipping two characters that happen to be the same gender.

You, admittedly, don't like it, and I have a sort of fascination with how writers who are not particularly interested in a certain type of fiction would handle that genre- what exactly about it do they dislike and what would they alter to both stay true to their ideas and the essence of the original idea. How you would write slash is something I've admittedly spent an inordinate amount of time thinking about.

First of all, I am probably unflatteringly flattering that you've spent so much time thinking about me writing slash.

Second of all, after thinking about your question, my gut reaction is that somehow, someway, I would make that slash about a girl. WHich totally isn't what you meant. Hmmm. The closest I ever came to shipping two guys like I would a girl and a guy or two girls was Mytho/Fakir, actually. Fakir was just being the abusive boyfriend so accurately. But I never had the desire to write fic or imagine them fucking.
