I really dislike T:TSCC's season two intro. It feels really over the top and I think it worked much better, thematically, to have Sarah voicing the narration.

I can't help but notice that both Sarah and Derek have really pretty green eyes. I really like how it makes them look related, even though don't share genetics.

~~~
I have both intense Ron + Ron/Hermione fans and Harry + Harry/Hermione fans on my flist and both kind of exploded over Deathly Hollows. Since I like/ship both, it's really fun to see how similar the posts about those two characters sound.
~~~

This vid reminded me of how much I used to love Supernatural and Dean Winchester.

Your link reminded me of this. It's hilarious and awesome. You don't know how messed up this movie is XD One of the girls fathers gets turned into a Zombie and then she keeps him as a pet and calls him Dad still.

Oh my god that looks hilarious and fucked up and disturbing!

is it bad if I have decided just to skip seeing DH Part 1 in the theatres entirely, mostly due to my love of Ron Weasley and Ron/Hermione and my intense hatred of how the movies have handled both things?

I figure I will watch it before I go see the second one on the big screen. It is just that the movies do some things so beautifully right and then they do some MAJOR, IMPORTANT THINGS THAT ARE VERY IMPORTANT so wrong and my blood pressure can't handle it. IS THIS WEIRD? I feel like I should take a step back and evaluate my life, but it's Harry Potter, and Harry Potter, in many ways, defines my adolescence, so it's hard to find separation.

...if that makes sense. /two in the morning why am I still awake

Actually, I think that is really good. Why spend money and time on something that isn't going to make you happy?

Considering even the thought of the Blood and Chocolate movie adaption FILL MY SOUL WITH RAGE and I've only even seen the trailer, it's not weird in my book.

That was hilarious. :D "Kill zombie stragglers, and then resume the baking of your pies."

I ship Harry/Hermione/Ron in the movies, and probably in the books too. :P Sure, Harry SAYS he sees Hermione as a sister, but yeah right. And in the movies especially, the only person I REALLY see Ginny having any chemistry with is Hermione, lol. With Harry it feels so forced, like Rowlling was forcing Harry and Ginny to get together and they just didn't care that much for each other.

So in my fictional end of the HP universe, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny all live in a big house, and the first three have a relationship with each other, and Hermione and Ginny are lovers too. XD Also, Neville and Luna get married because wtf was that about?

Even back when I DIDN'T ship Harry/Hermione I didn't buy that one.

Yeah, they would be SO good together.

Even as a Hermione/Ron shipper I enjoyed that dancing scene. Probably not for the reasons the H/Hr shippers did though. XD With HP, I'm of the, "Go with God to gen, crazy shippers." school of thought.

Yeah, the more time I spend in fandom, the harder it is for me to care about ship A vs ship B even when I really love A or B.

Being a Ron + Ron/Hermione shipper who writes Harry/Hermione, it's interesting how much both ship fans seem to have problems with the movie. I had one long post where I ranted about the movies (it's my journal and I'll rant if I want to) but I tried to warn those who... think differently it would be an explosive post and to skip if they want to. No need for HP World War Two. Even still, it feels like just having an opinion in this fandom is grounds for being judged by someone out there. Sigh. Fandom can sometimes be so awesome - and so equally not awesome when it wants to be.

I don't like when season openers change too much. I liked VMars style and then S3 got all slow and shifty. Explains a lot, I think.

You noticed fans of both pairing disliking the movie? Just about everyone I know who ships H/Hr ADORED DH and the changes therein.

I know at least one person who was even more upset in a really depressed way because she said it was like the pairing being rejected even more, all over again. I get where she's coming from, though it was still difficult for me to watch at all.

Really? You mean she found the increased subtextual H/Hr followed by the H/R ending more difficult to watch?

More that having it more blatant/focused on in the movie made it harder when it was yanked away again. She says she prefers the movies to the books though, which I get even if I'm the opposite. I think she's glad for what it gave, even if it made it more painful overall.
