So, I'm finally current with Castle and while I hated the episode with Laura Prepton, I adored the last two episodes. The magician episode was fantastic on several levels; I adored Castle and Beckett connecting on such a platonic, personality based level and was honestly intrigued by who had been killed and why. I really like Lanie and Esposito together (I like both their character, they're both hot) and I loved trying to figure out who was sleeping with who and that moment of 'oh my god really?' at the reveal.
And then we had "Throwdown" which was fabulous. I loved how hurt and passionate Beckett was about solving her mother's murder.
sidenote: her new apartment was fabulous and if there isn't a fight set there later, during which someone is thrown through those lovely glass doors, it will be a tragedy.
Nathan Fillion did a fantastic job showing that Castle was HAVING FEELINGS without saying every thing going through his head and what he did say (talking about the blood on Kate's sweater, refusing to go home, his ideas for sneaking into the precinct) where all loaded with meaning.
Ryan and Esposito were also amazing. Now, I am not Ryan's biggest fan but he took a level in badass this episode:
"Listen assclown, I was in Catholic school for twelve years; they used to do this for talking in cl–"

Castle and Beckett's kiss was fuuuuunnnnnnn!
Final thought: I'm really loving how Kate's mother's murder is slowly being unspooled. I can't wait for the next episode about her mom's death and dirty cops (which I LOVED).
