What are your favorite dirty!wrong ships and why do you like them? (Or why shouldn't you like them?)

.... I probably could say Neji/Hinata from Naruto since they are cousins and their dads were identical twins and all making their genetics too close for this to be a good thing. BUT that's actually a part I've never thought of as wrong. Historically there's cousins marrying has been common and with the Main/Branch house thing, I think it makes a lot of sense politically too. They're probably more messed up for the fact that Neji nearly killed Hinata and blamed her for years for his dad's death. That's what makes it d!w, in my opinion. I love these two for the politics and their complicated past and how they (in fanon at least) do or do not over come that.

Neji/Hina must have been a gateway incest pairing though, because since then I've found myself liking those types of pairings (sounds messed up!) I am especially in love with Lucy/Edmund from Narnia. Partly because I love Lucy and I love Edmund, but I find their issues interesting. Like, Edmund and the guilt of betrayal contrasted to Lucy and her steadfast faith. Plus, I love the idea of them having adventures and battles together as A Boy and His Horse hints they do :) Susan/Peter are interesting too, for their individual dynamics of Susan's loss of belief (or at least acknowledgement of) Narnia.

Lastly, I might be the only one who ever liked this pairing much but Owen/Gwen from Torchwood was a couple I was *really* pulling for and they were rather wrong. Not so much for who they were to each other or anything, but the relatioship just felt sort of icky. I mean, Gwen's cheating on her boyfriend with Owen and its pretty clearly all about sex, and a co-worker is in love with Owen and Owen is kinda a not-so-great guy anyway which just lends extra twardri-ness to the affair. But. Even though its all about the sex, its all about the sex *as an emotional outlet* for what they are seeing on the job and can never really share with others who are not part of Torchwood. And that had so much possiblity to lead to a deepening of their relationship.

Agreed. It's definitely the emotional element of Hyuuga family politics that really makes Neji and Hinata complicated - it's given them a really fraught history and the fact that marriage between them WOULD be politically advantageous means that they could use what's best for the clan to obscure their feelings for each other.

Ah, yes. The politics of it makes it very interesting too. I like Hinata/ either Uchiha for the political reasons too....
