I am pretty sure I have found the house I am going to move into. It's in a fantastic neighborhood, it's super-affordable, I can bring my cat, and the current tenant (who I would be living with) liked me. As long as the background check checks out (and no reason why it shouldn't), I should have the place! And I just found out that one of my real life bffs is going to be living a.) very close and b.) in an apartment complex with a pool. Yeah, I'm totally going to be taking advantage of that.

Also, I discovered another automatic "no" in my housing search: any phrase that involves the word "community." Unless Joel McHale is going to be living there, perpetually shirtless, I don't want any part of it. I don't care if it's a community of yogis, vegetarians, or "cool people who have fun together." No, no, no. The only relationship I want with the person/people I move in with is 'roommate.'

On a completely different subject, I am totally in the mood for a comment-fic meme or some kind of fanfic game. Hm.....

Good luck on hopefully getting those great digs! Ah, moving is the worst, lol.

As for fic memes/games, do it! I might be around a little bit this three-day weekend to participate, at least.

Well, I basically have them.. although there is potential for drama with the renter who is living there now. The landlord is waiting to see if she moves out like she said she would or if he needs to start eviction proceedings.

Also, I ADORED you Tyler/Caroline fic on my fic game, but since this IS a three day weekend (which I keep forgetting) you should TOTALLY do a long weekend fic meme. *nudges*

You are very smart re: expecting/wanting nothing but a roommate.

I have roomed with two friends and have been lucky enough to REMAIN friends with them but I am well aware that moving any with someone I already like would be pushing my luck. And frankly, I doubt that I'd be able to tell if I could be friends with someone from a craigslist ad.
