What is this? Is this an actual Saturday? Am I actually having the chance to catch up on things?

Well, if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck...

I have been working a fuckton this week + time commuting which means that I am had just about zero time to do things besides work, such as internet and organizing the chaos of my desk. Today I finally got a chance to attack the paperwork, which has resulted in my entire floor being covered with bankers boxes and papers. I may need to finish it all up tomorrow.

But!

More important than foolish things like organization, I have a chance to answer emails and watch the new episode of Haven!

Which I really, really liked. To the extent that my own happiness makes me worried.

Audrey's faces! I'm kind of worried for that girl, especially because, while I don't think she's admitted this to herself yet, I think she knows that she's the original Audrey Parker. As a sidenote, goddamn I love the story she/they told about the foster dad. Oh, my heart.

Nathan was great this episode. I love his faith in Audrey and the actor does a great job of sounding choked up and yet stoic.

Duke was a hoot and a half - I loved his response to the Rev about only being on his own (though I'm actually really hoping he ends up spending a portion of this season more of an antagonist than an ally, simply because it would be great tv). I'm less than thrilled about his wife. Actually, I'm kind of gagging over it. I really enjoyed Duke's chemistry with Julia and I'm kind of sad that they're not doing more with her (which I have the suspicion that they won't) and instead are probably going to do more with Evvie.

I took to Evi immediately but I'm also missing Julia something fierce. I want some resolution there. If she's not going to be in the show anymore - is she? isn't she? no one seems to know! :( - how hard would it have been for them to throw in a line that she's rejoined MSF or something like that so we could at least have some closure? Her just not being there is this huge elephant in the room that's driving me crazy.

Agreed that Nathan was awesome to the power of ten and I'm enjoying the Audrey + Audrey adventures so much even though I haven't got a clue what it all means.

Yeah, I like Evi, I'm just not sold on the whole wife thing.

Exactly! It's especially frustrating because in the last scene with her it seemed really clear she was going to be pivotal to Duke 'not dying' plans.

Haven! Yay! That story Audrey told BROKE MY FREAKIN' HEART! Awesome show is awesome :D

Glad you were able to have a nice day!

Oh, Audrey. I just can't get over how much I've fallen for her, and how unexpectedly that is considering I was less than impressed in the pilot. HOW COULD I EVER HAVE BEEN SO BLIND?

NATHAN - *HEARTS* I just, he is a walking contradiction sometimes. Unfeeling, stoic, level-headed - and then at the same time, incredibly fierce in his loyalty and effection, totally see-through and prone to certain prejudices.

DUKE - Oh, man, I know what you mean about julia? Is she out of the show? I hope not. I kinda like that Julia didn't take any BS, and while this new girl is all right, I really haven't formulated much of an opinion on her despite her coming on so thick. We'll see.

Don't feel bad! I missed Caroline Forbes awesome for an entire season before she became my favorite character on TVD.

Same here. And I really liked the dynamic between Julia and Duke.

Duke's wife bothers me. I don't know what it is, except that 'Duke' and 'married' don't belong in the same sentence. That whole situation is weird.

Except for that and the lack of Julia, this episode was awesome.

Yeah, I liked it better when I just thought she was an old partner.

I was so happy to have Haven back! Nathan was pretty awesome in this episode; his confidence that his Audrey was the real Audrey at the beginning was wonderful. I don't really know what's going on with Duke being married, but I'm not too worried or bothered about it now. Although I would like Julia to come back, as I really ended up enjoying her last season, and I did love her chemistry with Duke.

It was! That made my heart just *gooey*

Walks like a duck is such an odd phrase but Audrey does use it. Very curious where all this is leading...

while I don't think she's admitted this to herself yet, I think she knows that she's the original Audrey Parker.

Ooh, this would be a fascinating twist. I trust Haven now. And it's cracky random cleverness.

"That'd be swell." Pretty much sums it up.

Overall, I like the development here. Haven's getting stronger.

. . . also I feel the need to note that, in any other series, this plot development would lead to the shippers declaring Audrey/Audrey semi-selfcest to be the new kink.
