I have got to get a better cleaning system going on. For the past month the only time I've had enough time at my flat to actually do a deep clean has been Sunday... so I get my place all nice and perfect just in time for the work week to start. I need to get it so that it's clean at the start of the weekend, so I can enjoy it. I also need more me time at my place in general. This holiday season has had way too much socializing for me, enough though I've had a lot of fun.

Speaking of, I was invited to see MI: Ghost Protocol at the IMAX (mainly so the people who invited me could see the first six minutes of the new Batman movie).

On that subject, on my god,
that scene with the plane. I have a very astute eye for CGI (to the point that it's ruined scenes for me) but I was just gobsmacked by how real that scene with the plan looked - unsurprising, because it was all real stunts. I am so impressed, and am going to be seeing Batman in theaters just to get the full effect of the special effects.

Ghost Protocol was lots of fun.
I enjoying seeing Ethan Hunt again – especially that first prison scene and the amazing scene with him on the outside of the building. The writers were being really smart when they had the tech the heroes had access to breaking half the time - it really upped the stakes nicely. I think Jeremy Renner was great - such a smart move to have him be a more comedic character. And that scene outside the elevator shaft. When he's doing stretches in those suit pants. If I hadn't had people with me, I would have said some really, really embarrassing things in the the theater. I mean, I want to watch that movie again, just so I can wallow in the hotness of his ass. Also, Josh Holloway need to star in an action film of his own. Seriously.

On the subject of Jeremy Renner (sort of) I have greatly been enjoying Clint/Darcy fics. There is a great primer here (start with [livejournal.com profile] musesfool's fics) and [livejournal.com profile] het_reccers is also doing Thor for the first part of January, so get those recs in.

I love how everyone is coming away from Mission Impossible with a favorable review of Jeremy Renner's arse. I totally leered in the theatre and had to tell myself to stop biting my lip. *snickers*

And yes! The tech failing was really kind of perfect.

Please, like that wasn't totally what the movie was all about.

I really, really enjoyed Ghost Protocol! I'm a very big fan of the franchise and thought this one definitely lived up to it. I like the third one better in terms of the plot, but I really did enjoy the team aspect of this one. Also, I totally agree about JR's ass. I don't think I've ever found him that attractive before, but man, whew. Those moments before the elevator scene cracked me up. Oh, and I may or may not have a huge crush on Paula Patton too!

However, I'm pissed I didn't get to see 6 minutes of the new Batman movie!

Yeah, I really thought this was a solid entry into the series and I REALLY liked the thought that this team would continue to be badass in the next movie.

Ghost protocol was a lot of fun, and yes Jeremy's ass certainly helped ;)

Ghost Protocol is what decided me on seriously fangirling Jeremy Renner, and I believe I shall never go back. Also, I loved the movie itself like way more than I thought I would.

Clint/Darcy has also been making my day recently and I'm glad we're on the same page about all this. :P

Ghost Protocol was a really solid action film with some super-great moments. I really hope they do another installment with the same cast.

It's so delightful!

Yeah I really liked Mission Impossible, and that was the first one I've seen! And I agree with your assessment of Jeremy Renner, he was great. I'm getting even more excited for The Avengers now...
