I Though It Was Only Recently Teachers Started Looking For Ways To Not Do Their Jobs

In 1958, in response to educators' requests, Crayola renamed the “Prussian blue” crayon, changing its name to “midnight blue.” Teachers felt that children were no longer familiar enough with Prussian history to recognize that this crayon color referred to the famous deep-blue uniforms of Prussian soldiers.

Yeah, 'cause God forbid we actually learn something. Or have a reason to ask questions.

I had one cool teacher. She was my third grade teacher and she was really into having us research and find new ways of learning. She liked that. I think she was truly a teacher who felt that every student had a different way of learning and she actually taught it to us.

I am totally not dissing individual teachers, 'cause I've had some that were out of this world, but sometimes I think the government, educators and related industries are doing all they can to get away with teaching us less and less.

I totally know where you are coming from. I had alot of teachers who were like "Shut the god damn hell up and do the bloody work!" It's sad really.

I haven't had many teachers like that, but I mean... no child left behind? The bureaucracy and decisions made at a higher level regarding education in this country are insane.
