I Saw A Woman By The Side Of The Road With A Face I Knew Like My Own Reflected In My Window
~Green Lantern and Young Justice were taken off Cartoon Networks schedule last minute and for no stated reason. I've heard a rumor that they won't be coming back until JANUARY. I have no fucking idea what CN is thinking.
~Regarding Marvel casting for the SHIELD tv show.... you're just fucking with me, aren't you?
I feel like Coulson's schrodinger's cat at this point.
~Mary Elizabeth Winstead is definitely NOT who I'd pick to be Agent 13... but I've been wanting to see more of that actress since both Deathproof and Live Free or Die Hard (I hated Scot Pilgrim, didn't realize she was in that, let us not speak of the horror that is that movie) so I'd be cool with her joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Same with Josh Holloway.
~I saw Chronicle this evening which... I don't know if I can recommend, on the grounds that I didn't actually enjoy it very much, but as a portrait of how someone becomes a super villain, it's very psychologically real.
~A couple of things about The Vampire Diaries...
first, I want to mention how thrilled I was that Rebekah was the one to cause Elena's death - and in such a simple way. I love Rebekah's almost bored look as the headlights of Matt's truck hit her. Also, that scene right at the end of the episode with Rebekah slayed me. Oh, my insecure, lonely Original. I am so pleased you told off your selfish brother and ruined any shot he had at making more hybrids. You stood up for yourself AND ended a boring as fuck storyline. Bravo, darling, bravo.
I loved the scene in the woods with Klaus-in-Tyler, and I'm kind of sad that they got Klaus back in his body so fast - I feel like there was more with that story that they could have done.
This is just fucking delightful:

(Candice Accola and Michael Trevino needs to go on a double date with Jeremy Renner and Scarlett Johansson. And I kind of hate that I think that. BOUNDARIES, RED, BOUNDARIES.)

Neither do I. I'd get it if Green Lantern and Young Justice weren't very popular television shows but their fanbases are freaking huge! They do realise that they're gonna put off a large number of fans off from viewing the cartoons if they constantly put these shows on hiatus, right?
This comic sums up my feelings towards CN very well. (http://isaia.tumblr.com/post/33552326542/giancarlovolpe-rufftoon-dc-nation-on-hold) Preach to the choir Razer. If Young Justice and Green Lantern get cancelled over this, I'm going to be very unhappy. Do you know how hard it is to find a cartoon with more than one female character, that TREATS those female characters very, very well?
Also, if anyone wants to complain to the higher ups at cartoon network, this tumblr post has the numbers/emails of some very important people who may change their minds if they know their fanbase is unhappy with the changes:

OMG, that was amazing. When she just raised those blood bags up and squeezed and blood spurted everywhere: the symbolism, OMG YAY. Poor Rebekah, though.

I'm so glad Caroline figured it out herself. I'm not too sorry that SL is over, though I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
This is just fucking delightful

THAT WOULD BE THE MOST EPIC THING EVER.

Striking out the spoiler just in case,
All I could focus on, really, was Elena feeding on Damon next week.MY BRAIN IS GOING TO EXPLODE. I'm not sure how they'll integrate Rebekah into the storyline now (a story with Caroline would be nice and they could both have non-boy stories for a while).P.S. Candice and Michael are too adorable, I can't stand it. STAWP.

I imagine that there's still going to be a bit with her and Klaus - just because breaking family ties like that isn't always a clean cut.

So adorbs.

It looks like the new episodes were released on iTunes, so I might be able to get them that way.
