City Etiquette

I want to write a Darcy/Steve fic for my 'romance' homebrewbingo square and I need some guidence from my big-city peeps.

When the girl you are having sex with is catching the subway very late at night back to her apartment, what is the standard etiquette? Do you want her to the platform? Wait for the train with her? I'm imagining that Steve would wait and see her onto the train, checking that Darcy has her taser and her cell - maybe request that she call him to make sure she's back safe?

Basically, I want to walk the line between Steve being Steve, with his 1940's manners but also respecting that Darcy can take care of herself and make her own choices about her safety.

Thoughts?

...That actually sounds more like something Clint would say. Steve would probably focus more one how even a couple extra minutes with Darcy is excellent.

it really does sound like something clint would say =/ my brain apparently only has Clint mode (and now a series of drabbles: Operation Escort: See Ms Lewis to the train station and the various avengers and how they completely this mission)
